Notes sync on Logos 8 + Certificates (Mac)

Using Mac (El Capitan) Logos 8 my notes did not sync anymore, since a few days.

As Logos 8 is not supported anymore, I had to look myself in de Logos Logs (Logos Logging Utility).

Accessing *.logos.com and *.faithlife.com reported errors.

As Certificates go out-of-date, the solution above is outdated.

Yesterday my Logos 8 did not sync.
Today this works for me (refresh/instert new certificate):

Remove in Safari alle history, cookies, cache.
Remove in Keychain faithlife.com and logos.com certificates.
In Firefox, open logos.com, go to the certificate (via location bar icon),
and download PEM Chaim (yes, look for the options, takes while)
Open (=insert) that certificate with keychain
in KeyChain, set the certificate to Trust Always.
start up Logos again

The problem is not with the version Logos 8, but with out-of-date El Capitan Safari certificate handling.
