Note anchoring issue (desktop version)
This just started happening with the latest revision. While anchoring notes on each verse of a chapter, they appear anchored to the chapter itself, as well as to each verse.

I pasted a screen clip but it didn't post for some reason. Let me try again:

I don't *think* I'm doing anything differently. For the last 2 chapters, apparently, this has been happening. Each note only has the specific verse (2, 3, 4, etc) as the anchor. I click on the verse number, make sure the verse I want the note to be anchored to is in the navigation window, confirm when I create the note, etc.

This seems to be a new "feature," as I don't remember seeing this annoyance prior to 9.10 Beta 1.

Either I did something wrong, or there's something different with these 2 chapters in particular. I tested on a few other chapters and didn't get the same result -- the notes just anchored to the specific verses.

Which specific resource and which specific place in that resource are you trying to attach the notes?

As long as you choose Selection when making a note it will only anchor to the verse.

They could have come from a Workflow. Check what notebooks are showing against Notes and Highlights (and ..Corresponding) in the Visual Filters menu (three dots in a triangle).

So far it's only happening for Revelation 12 and 13. I create the verse note the same way each time (see below). It does happen every time I create a new note for those 2 chapters, though. I'm not terribly concerned about it at this point, since it appears to be limited after all, or I've done something to cause it here.
EDIT: Forgot to mention this is in the King James Version.

Your dark mode screenshot doesn't resemble anything that I recognise from the desktop. Are you on a mobile app (IOS or Android)? If so you need to post in the Mobile forum.

Sometimes cropping a screenshot can be helpful... but context is important!

The screen clip is of the New Note drop-down in the right top corner of your Notes tab. As mentioned, the issue is with anchoring notes, so the screen clip shows how I anchor a new note to a specific verse from your drop-down, by highlighting the verse reference. That anchors the note to the verse as expected, but for the 2 chapters in question, every verse note icon also appears beside verse 1 (even though I'm not anchoring verse 1 to those notes, and the notes indicate they are only anchored to the specific verses).
You can probably just ignore this anyway -- I thought this was a new bug because it started occurring with the 2 chapters I happened to be creating notes for, at the same time the latest revision was pushed out. But apparently it only impacts those 2 chapters, so I doubt it's a revision issue after all.
EDIT: I edited the post as my response expressed some unwarranted (and really unrelated) frustration.

I have some suspicions as to what is going on but I would need a full screenshot of the resource with its selection and the note tool to verify my suspicions. I suspect the problem to be in the resource rather than the application -- but I haven't a clue as to which KJV to check.

I would agree now it's likely something to do with the resource, since it only impacts the 2 chapters. (Or I've done something wrong, though I can't duplicate it elsewhere, and I can't *not* duplicate it in those 2 chapters.) But unless I run into the issue again or regularly, I'm not that concerned about it. I only reported it as the timing made me think it could be a release bug. Sorry for the premature post before testing it on other chapters.

Full screen shot only gives you minimal additional information than what I posted in my descriptions and clips. I mentioned the KJV resource as it appears on the tab (below) in a previous post. The "New note" drop-down is in the Notes tab/tool. The multiple note icons beside verse 1 are displayed below as in my clip. So you see the Bible text and the actual note in addition to what I posted previously. I realize you have a lot of complex packages and a huge library that complicates troubleshooting, but this is as basic as you can get. Plus, I really wasn't thinking "resource issue" initially given the apparent change in anchor behavior.
EDIT: One other thing I can confirm now as well -- is that the YLT does NOT have the multiple icons anchored to verse 1, so that may also point to a likely resource issue with the KJV.

Thankyou. I think there is a subtle problem with the text. If my selection begins with the space after the chapter number in chapter 12, the reference is 12:1. If my selection begins with the space after the chapter number in chapter 13, the reference is simply 13. Someone else needs to verify this before we report an error in tagging but I suspect a slight inconsistency in the tagging.

I can confirm the issue with the KJV 1900, the Holy Bible, KJV(AV), and ASV 1901.

Thanks for reporting this bug. I've created a case.
