Problem with the Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary
Unlike the New Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary the corresponding Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary ( https://www.logos.com/product/215232/the-old-testament-hebrew-english-dictionary ) is'nt working properly.
If it is prioritized it will not show up in the <Parallel Resources> // at all neither in the right-click search <Lookup> from the Hebrew Bible. There is no way to access it per right click nor is it possible to parallelize it by taking the Old Testament Hebrew-English Lexicon in the same linkset with another Hebrew dictionary and thus access the entries indirectly. Currently there is only this one way to look up a Hebrew lemma: I have to copy the lemma from another lexicon to get access to it by pasting it in the table of contents entry in the Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary.
The Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary is a very useful resource and part of the Complete Biblical Library (integrated into Logos from WordSearch), but I'm missing the basic functionality of accessing specific Hebrew entries from a Hebrew text per right click.

First off, I don't have the resource, so I can't speak specifically to the problem.
But for your own checking, when something like this happens:
- When the resource is in view, click on the top-right hamburger menu, and select 'Information'
- Scan down to 'Indices', to see how the resource is index'd (see example below, for HALOT)
- And then in your library, check the 'Type' (which generally will be 'Lexicon'), and 'Subject' will typically be 'Hebrew Language-Dictionary'

Thanks, Klaus.
We'll review the resource and figure out the best path to make it function as expected.

There is indeed an issue. "The Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary" does indeed index on Hebrew Headword and is Type Lexicon.
However the Subject is simply Dictionaries whereas the subject entry for HALOT and others is "Hebrew language--Dictionaries--English".
The other interesting thing is when you look up an entry in the The Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary and then check for parallel resources Logos returns that there are NO parallel resources.
I checked this by pasting a Hebrew lemma in the find box for each resource (finds it) and then asking for parallel resources (clicking //).
My (flawed?) understanding of this is that the Subject (from the Library of Congress) entry should not affect this.
EDIT: Sorry, I was composing this missive and missed Rick's response. Thank you Rick.

DMB, thank you, I have compared the settings with the correct working Greek-English dictionary --all the same entries:
Bibliography item
English headwords
Transliterated Headwords
Hebrew (Greek) Headwords
Rick thank you, that you look after it!

The problem is not solved until now. The lack of ability to show up in the word lookup with the right mouse click in the preferred "The Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary" is still not fixed.
I thought to have found a way by a work around in using the Complete Bible Library Hebrew interlinear verson. But alas! Every word which is there referenced with two numbers seperated by a colon (that means which has a prefix or an affix as part of this one word) will not show up as lexicon entry of the Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary: only the prefix is accessible by clicking on either number. It is not possible to access the other main word (root) by clicking on the second number in the Complete Bible Library Interlinear. Only the Prefix or the affix is accessible.
For example the first word of the Hebrew Bible
"bereschit"
you are only able to access the Prefix "b" (904) and not the "reschit by clicking on the 7519 in the Complete Bible Library Interlinear.
If you hover with the mouse on the number, the two entries will show up, but you can't invoke the "reschit" in The Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary".
There is until now no way to access the lemma entries of "The Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary"
The right mouse click in the Hebrew Biblia Stuttgartensia does give me the possiblity to look up a word but the OTHE will show up only in the Leamm word lookup only randomly some times yes and sometimes no.
Check for example Jer. 32,21: Some words of this verse give access to the OTHED by right click and lemma word lookup and some not. You can check word after word with the right mouse click an see it if the OTHED is shown as preferred lexicon.
I love the really valuable "The Old Testament Hebrew-English Dictionary" of the Complete Library, but can't access the entries to words of interest in the Hebrew text.
Please help!!!
The Greek version of the Complete Library work without any problem.0 -
Not to mention the NT volume doesn’t point to BDAG but to the old version BAGD which sucks because FL doesn’t sell it anymore.
