Bug: Fail to launch
I just updated to Full Feature L10.
I had L9 running when I upgraded on the website and it started downloading updates. Once it looked like it might be done I closed the program, waited a few minutes and tried to launch.
Now i get the new splash screen followed by the traditional "preparing your library" screen which runs for 3 or 4 minutes and then it just disappears. I have repeated this process at least 5 times, restarted my computer, cleared space from applicable drives and still have the same problem.
My PC should not be struggling as its only weak point is in available space. tho I have at least 20 GB on one drive and 40 on the other available.
CPU is a Ryzen 5 with 16Gb or RAM

I am having the same problem. If I hit the button to skip loading my setups, the program starts to load, then crashes half way through the opening "logos tune"
I need help like right now!!

Please could you upload your logs?
Because Logos is crashing you won't be able to enable logging, but hopefully there will still be a crash log that will help.

I cant launch but I did send what log files were available.
*Worth noting* The link it sent me to was not the location of my faithlife folder, I had to "go up one level" and click on "local"
Thanks for the tip0 -
Hi Mark! I wish you could get Sermon Browser updated!
Well, I can't get to the logs, the thing keeps crashing. I have gotten a little bit further with each attempt.
After the last crash, I got a Windows notification that Logos is indexing in the background. The only thing I have running is Microsoft Edge, to communicate here.
I don't see anything running in Task Manager, clicked on my tray to see what was running there, saw the Logos Indexer briefly, then it flashed out... still no luck starting Logos 10

I am wondering if I didn't get the update fully installed somehow and am now in a loop. I'll go do something else for a while. Drink some coffee. Read a book. Something. Hope we can get this resolved soon!

Thats my suspicion as well.
I thought the updates were done, but they would download one and then stop, then another, perhaps I didn't get them all0 -
Thanks for the report. We have figured out the problem and are working on making a solution available.
For now, you can fix the problem by uninstalling the application and reinstalling it (this web page should include a link to download the application if you need it).

Will that require redownloading my library?
If so, I will wait for the fix as I have rural internet and a fair sized library0 -
I get a 404 error when I try to download the Windows App

This link works for the re-install file

It looks like the reinstall means downloading the whole shebang... so you might be wise to wait if your bandwidth is an issue.

To answer my own question for those who may have the same issue, YES, I am having to download my library over again.
I also had to manually delete the default C: install as uninstalling left the file in place and the new installation would not start because of it.
This may or may not have been why I am redownloading my library from scratch
**Looks like a good day to grab a print Bible and find a shade tree with some coffee and say a prayer for all the wonderful folks at Faithlife who are working doubletime today**0 -
I should note that the link I posted above appears to install Logos 8. Presumably once all downloading is finished it will start downloading upgrades... I will let it take its time and not click on anything prematurely!

My crash logs here. Tried loading to a blank layout. After it displays the blank layout for a few seconds, the app closes.

We are hoping to have a fix soon. At that time, you will be able to just manually install the new version without having to uninstall first.

Same crash experience here. Do you still need logs posted?

We have shipped a fix for this crash. You will need to download and run the installer from this page: https://www.logos.com/get-started

Thanks! That sorted it for me.

Andrew, I keep getting a 404 error for this page and can't get the installer
404: Not Found | Logos Bible Software
I'm using Edge. Will try in Chrome or Firefox and see what happens.

Not working for me in Chrome or Firefox... maybe it is just me? I am now back to Logos 8??? Downloaded over 4400 resources, now indexing. I assume it will ultimately upgrade itself? But I can't get to the link you've posted.

clicking your link - which comes from the "Windows" button on the page Andrew sent you to - with my Chrome browser immediately downloads LogosSetup.exe onto my PC. Maybe there was just a momentary glitch with the servers (as I have seen several today - seems to be overloaded)?
If this persists, maybe you are in a secured environment that doesn't want to download executables from the web?
Have joy in the Lord!

No, it's been that way all day for me. I'm just at home, no secure environment.

Don, I just sent you a private message via Faithlife.com with an update link that should solve the issue for you. We are working on a more general solution for the install page.

I just downloaded the setup file again and ran it and that took care of the problem. Rerun the setup and that might solve it.

I've run the installer from the prescribed page and it returned the message that "Logos Bible Software is up-to-date." However, it always crashes when I try to open it. I hope I don't have to uninstall it. [:)]

Just an update... I got a link to bypass my problem with the website and I am back in business with Logos 10. Thanks so much to the Logos folks for their outstanding help. You all were right on top of it, I really appreciate it.
Today is Thanksgiving Day in Canada, so I am extra thankful to you all. (But the turkey is starting to kick in so it might be naptime soon)
