Yes, it's time to start my tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. This cycle, they will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10 Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up.

This tip is based on Have you ever seen a notebook come up missing? - Faithlife Forums (logos.com). There are two common reasons for notes and notebooks to go missing:

  • they have been deleted
  • their display has been turned off

If they have been deleted, you will find them in your trash can. From the trash can, you can restore them.

  • Open the notes tool
  • Open the left side pane (1)
  • Click on the Trash can (2) in the lower left of the notes tool
  • In the panel that opens, select either "trashed notes" or "trashed notebooks" in the left panel
  • Navigate to the missing notes or notebook in the right panel
  • Selecting the missing item will open options on the bottom of the entry.
  • Select Undelete (4)

The missing notes or notebooks should now be back.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

YES!!!  I lost a multi-entry note the other day, deleted by mistake.  I did not know how to restore it.

Using the above tip, I got it back.

    MJ: thank you.

Thanks very much! You just enabled me to recover over 1000 notes in a notebook that I inadvertantly deleted.
