BUG: Removed and Re-Downloaded resources won't index

I removed a large number of resources from my hard drive yesterday and then rebuilt the index. However, I have been re-downloading some of those removed resources. However, when I re-download resources that I removed, none of them are indexing automatically. The indexer icon appears momentarily but the indexer doesn't actually run. I either have to manually reindex each resource individually or I have to rebuild the entire index if I've re-downloaded a group of resources (rebuilding the whole index is now faster than reindexing a certain number of resources one at a time).

What can I do to get Logos to realize these resources are not indexed and automatically index them when they are re-downloaded?

EDIT: Some additional info I forgot to include...Before I re-downloaded these resources they showed up in my Cloud search results. Once I re-downloaded them they don't show up in my search results at all. It seems to remove them from my Cloud results but doesn't add them to my Downloaded results.

I don't have this problem ... I suspect that the download failed ...

Can you elaborate? The resources downloaded. I am able to open them and use them. I just can't search them.

I may have misunderstood. I thought you said they didn't appear in the library. Anyway, back to the initial problem. When I run multiple downloads back to back, I get unpredictable results. Logos gets confused in the indexing. If I select multiple resources and download them together, Logos handles the indexing correctly. When I have done the former unintentionally and gotten things into a fine muddle, I do a complete reindex and everything is find again -- just don't initiate overlapping indexing and expect predictable results - it may or may not work.

I have had this same experience in the past and I have made sure to not download things back to back. I use a download tag to select all the resources I want to download and download them all at once. That had been working fine...until this weekend when I deleted a bunch of resources.

So this issue is different. NOTHING that I am re-downloading is indexing, the indexer does not run for them. However, the resource and dataset updates I received today indexed. There seems to be a problem specifically with the resources that I removed and then re-downloaded. I don't want to have to keep rebuilding the index so I'm trying to figure out what's causing the problem with the removed and then re-downloaded resources not indexing. And it doesn't even keep them in my cloud search results, I'm not able to get any search results from these resources unless I manually re-index them.

Have you looked at the indexer logs?

Where exactly do I find the correct indexer logs? I'm looking at files in the Logs folder titled LogosIndexer and LogosIndexerError but I don't see any recent data. It's all from last year or previous versions of Logos.

However, I did look at the LogosError file and it does have errors but I don't know how to interpret them. Here's the LogosError file:

It looks to me like the errors occur in the download of the resources before the indexer is even called but I'm out of my depth determining what resource(s) are involved. I'd try to catch CS before they go home.

Hi Kiyah--Sorry for the trouble here. We'd definitely like to dig into this; best shot is to get our hands on the log files that you're struggling to find. Perhaps you don't have logging enabled? Could you follow the instructions at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027869132-How-to-Enable-and-Submit-Log-Files except instead of emailing customer service, just post your logs in this thread. After you start up the app as per the instructions, execute a search that gives you cloud results for one of the resources that you previously deleted, then download that resource, give it a few minutes, then execute the same search and confirm that the results for the resource is neither in cloud or downloaded results (i.e. we'll use this as the confirmation that you've reproduced the bug).

Once you post the logs here we'll dig in and let you know what we find and/or circle back with any follow up questions.

I followed your instructions to reproduce the issue. Here are the logs:

This has been resolved in v24.
