How to Import Word Lists Into Anki

If you're switching to Anki from the Flashcard app it's not always the most intuitive product. Here's a quick guide to get your word lists into Anki.
- Create your word list in Logos and Print/Export to Excel
- Delete any unnecessary columns so you have a column of lemma and a column of the corresponding definitions
- Save the file as Unicode Text (.txt)
- Close Excel (you won't be able to open and change the new file while it is still open)
- Find that Unicode file and save it with UTF-8 encoding (see image below)
- In Anki create a new deck or select the desk you want the word in and File -> Import.

I love you Morgan.
Additionally, vote for the ability to export word lists into Anki format here - https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/replace-flashcard-app-with-interface-to-anki

You're too kind. On a similar note, I saw your request in another thread to format word list by frequency or other criteria. This can be done using the concordance tool.
- Make your list of words via the concordance tool (for example you can put 30 as the bottom range for frequency)
- Export to an Excel spreadsheet or other similar program
- Select all the data in the spreadsheet and copy (CTRL + C)
- In your word list at the top left, select "Add" and then "...clipboard"
- You can then explore the merge options and use "Intersect" with a word list from Ephesians
