Help Structuring syntax searches for Rahlfs-Hanhart LXX

Hi Logos Friends,

I am hoping to obtain help setting up syntax searches with the following parameters:

a. All articles and their substantives occurring in Rahlfs-Hanhart. I specifically need to search for any article separated from its substantive/noun.

b. Any genitive pronoun preceding its substantive/noun.

c. Any genitive pronoun occurring with a definite (that is with the article) substantive/noun.

d. Total adjectives occurring in the attributive position.

e. Any attributive adjectives preceding their substantives/nouns.

f. Every adverbial participle.

g. Any datives not used as the object of the preposition en (Greek).

Any help is appreciated.

I only have Rahlfs - Septuagint with Logos Morphology. Does "any article separated from its substantive/noun" = anarthrous?

g. Any datives not used as the object of the preposition en (Greek).

Do you mean a prepositional phrase with en but not a dative?

We have to use a Search because the bible you specify is not available in Syntax Search nor Morph Query (graphical)

morph.g:D BEFORE 2 WORDS TERM:(morph.g:J OR morph.g:R OR morph.g:N OR morph.g:V??P)

D = article, J= Adjective, V??P = participle, R = pronoun, N = Noun. You can add/subtract from the substantives used.
BEFORE 2 WORDS is needed where there is one intervening word. You can make it BEFORE 1 WORDS if necessary
TERM makes sure that the substantives are highlighted the same color.

This may have been programmed correctly, but the results are skewed. Can you provide a search that locates ALL articles and their substantives? I can go one by one through them.

It gets complicated because of the need to match substantives on case, gender and number. So the examples given only include Nouns for all 5 cases but only the Masculine gender. Also, 2-5 WORDS is incorrect as it should be 1-5 WORDS but that will produce spurious matches like τῆς noun1, καὶ πνεῦμα noun2 where the underlined nouns satisfy case, number and gender but noun2 is only associated with the article because it is 4 words away from the article. So you have to compromise on proximity e.g.

I cannot pretend to understand the macro quoted here. It does seem that it is picking up several mismatched pronouns. In the first example below, the text reads "Adam and his wife before the face of the LORD God," and the macro is matching the pronoun his (referring to Adam) modifying wife with LORD God. The constructions I am seeing that demonstrate this phenomenon are rarely more than one or two words prior to their substantive. This may help reduce the burden and increase accuracy. FWIW: my computer programming includes many Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macros, which is different than Logos searching.

One thought is an adverb modifies a verb so tense and voice should match. My initial search was morph.g:V??P to find all Verbal Participles, followed by analysis for tense and voice combinations. Logos Search limitation is 10,000 results for analysis so turned to Concordance Tool so found four tenses: Aorist, Present, Perfect, & Future occur with all four voices: Active, Middle, Passive, Either Middle or Passive

Aorist Active (AA) => morph.g:VAAP WITHIN 5 WORDS morph.g:VAA[^P] found 796 verses to consider for adverbial participle

Aorist Active (AA) => morph.g:VAAP WITHIN 7 WORDS morph.g:VAA[^P] found 955 verses

Aorist Middle (AM) => morph.g:VAMP WITHIN 5 WORDS morph.g:VAM[^P] found 22 verses

Aorist Middle (AM) => morph.g:VAMP WITHIN 7 WORDS morph.g:VAM[^P] found 31 verses

Aorist Passive (AP) => morph.g:VAPP WITHIN 7 WORDS morph.g:VAP[^P] found 66 verses

Aorist either middle or passive (AU) => morph.g:VAUP WITHIN 7 WORDS morph.g:VAU[^P] found no verses

Humanly not know appropriate proximity for adverbial participle and verb being described.

Please advise if help is desired for modifying search for the remaining Tense & Voice combinations for adverbial participle searches.

Agreed while remembering an Adverb is different than an Adverbial Participle. My quoted sentence could have been more complete: "One thought is an adverb modifies a verb so an Adverbial Participle tense and voice should match the Verb." (explicitly state what was implied by context).

Books Search for "adverbial participle" found results in 240 resources in my Logos library, which includes:
