I was editing and just printed a handout for tonight's message when Logos went down in a mighty crash. Well, a regular crash I guess.
Log file shows a problem with permissions.

The problem occurred on rebuilding the document index which normally takes 5 to 8 seconds, and is accompanied by messages from the Sentence Diagrammer. Could have been interference from an external program like a file backup or Security Suite or the editing you were performing. What were you editing?
Can you still use L4?
Dave,
L4 started right up this morning (and last night) without a hitch. There may have been a virus scan (Kaspersky) in the background and that would account for the permissions issue. I hadn't thought about that.
Programmers: What would be the "cure" then? Increasing wait time in L4 in case of a permissions issue? Or locking the files so that virus scanners etc. will recognize that they're busy?
I will run your questions past them.
