- Open LHB
- Select some text
- Right click, ensure Selection is checked on LHS
- Click a Notebook under Add a Note
- Notes tool begins to open but the app crashes
- Repeatable in other bibles e.g. NABRE

Reproducible in Logos on Mac

Also reproducible in NIV 2011 on Windows 10, creating a note without using a notebook. This should be a top priority bug (Dave, possibly taking out the LHB from the thread title and replacing by "bibles" will make this clearer to the developers.)
My crash log reads:
Error ID: 8430
Error detail: AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. (Cannot read properties of null (reading 'filter'))System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. (Cannot read properties of null (reading 'filter'))

Thanks for the report and logs. I'll take a look and write up a case for our team.

Any chance to go back to the previous beta until this bug is fixed?

The following workaround seems to work without crashing Logos:
- Create a note without an anchor.
- Add the anchor manually, either using a reference or a highlighted passage.
- Add any note content
- Place the note in a notebook (if so desired)

Not good enough. This bug has not been fixed in Beta 2 when it would have bee opportune to delay the release.
This makes a total of three crashes unresolved by this release.

As a workaround, please try opening the Notes Tool before creating the note.

Confirmed.

In my case, the crash also happens if the Notes Tool is open. My workaround is described above.

Then I believe you are experiencing a different crash that is unrelated to the one reported on this thread. I recommend starting a new thread and posting your recreation steps and your log file.

Done over here: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/217022/1263548.aspx: Scenario 3 seems to be not identical but related to what Dave experiences.

This is not fixed in Beta 3 - contrary to the Release notes. There is no effective workaround as it crashes irrespective of the tool being open.
The crash is the same - 8078.Verbum-Notes-Crash_B3.zip
And the Search box is still absent.

Confirmed on Mac as well

The above-mentioned workaround works for me:
- Create a note without an anchor.
- Add the anchor manually, either using a reference or a highlighted passage.
- Add any note content
But it might not qualify as "effective". It takes a few more steps.

Apologies for the confusion on the release notes, this fix can be expected in an upcoming beta.
