Any point in keeping the Faithlife app?

I've got the Logos and Faithlife apps on both my Android phone and tablet. I rarely use a PC nowadays. I've always wondered why I have both apps, tbh. I see the Faithlife app has been 'sunsetted', but still works. Is there any point in keeping it, do you think?

One of the features that set apart the "Faithlife" app was the social media component. I have not heart what is happening to that (web/mobile). Outside of THAT, I would generally say "no reason to keep."

Some users keep 2 apps to do things like have more resources open at once... but with tabs, that is not really an issue. Having two apps takes up a lot of space on your device, especially if you download resources.

The Faithlife app has been discontinued as of July 1. The few remaining functions it has left are not really practical for anything. You would be better off at this point just going to faithlife.com in your web browser, mobile or desktop.

Yep, the Faithlife app is goneburgers on my phone and tablet; freed up over 1Gb combined, too. I don't really use Faithlife at all, so I'm happy just to continue on with the Logos app. Thanks!

I wonder if you're referring to a different app. The Faithlife ebooks app is still available and was only updated 2 weeks ago.

Given the direction Faithlife/Logos is going towards rebranding as Logos and keeping the name "Faithlife" mostly just for a legal entity behind the Logos and Proclaim software, I wouldn't be surprised to see them discontinue the Faithlife app, or rename it Logos Ebooks.

I don't have it personally, but I'm guessing it is an updated version of what used to be called Vyrso, which was a simplified app for reading Ebooks, without all the Bible study features of the Logos app. It would thus be less cluttered, perhaps faster, and easier to learn for people who just wanted to read on their mobile device and would do their Bible study on their PC. But you can read books on the Logos app too. So there's nothing the Ebook reader app gives you (other than perhaps speed) that you won't have in the Logos app.

If you're talking about the Faithlife eBooks app, that is still functional just as the Logos and Verbum apps, the reader apps. The Faithlife app (simply called Faithlife, not eBooks, Logos, etc.) that is not a reader app but was used for community interaction, groups, messaging, community notes, etc., has been discontinued.

Faithlife Ebooks used to be called Vyrso and it has a few annoying features like highlighting[:D]. But it does have Word Info which can be expanded to a full Bible Word Study with RI's.
