Constant and Repeatable Crash
This began with L10 V. 27 b1 and continues with b2. When trying to "add note" to a text (using selection, not reference) the note window comes up and then crashes. In my case, I was attempting to add a note to Acts 4:17 KJV which was an attempt to paste a word definition into the note. The copy was from The Complete Word Study Dictionary of the Old Testament. Everything worked fine until I selected "add note". The note window opened and then crashed. Never got to the point of pasting.
EDIT: I need to amend my original post. I was actually trying to make a note in Proverbs 5:1 to a selection ("attend") utilizing The Complete Word Study Old Testament. I get an instant crash, note window DID NOT even show up.

This is a known issue. I've added a link to this post into the existing case. I believe you can work around the problem by making sure the Notes panel is open before creating the note.

Just want to record that in addition to the Desktop Betas, it also began happening on or near 07/03 in both Logos 8 running under MacOS 10.13 and Logos 9 running under MacOS 10.15 (yes, I have old computers-- donations welcome
). The posted workaround (having the Notes tool open in a tab prior to creating a new Note) does not work for these versions, whether attempting to create the note using the drop-down (right-click) menu, or within the Notes tool itself. Case report submitted by email 07/05 prior to finding these threads. Thanks.0 -

Unfortunately, even if this was the exact same crash, Logos 8 and 9 are no longer supported, and there are no plans for any new releases of those versions.

I'm having a similar problem in the free desktop version. A difference is that I can often open the Notes panel and enter a note, but then it freezes and will not allow me to close any window or the program. I have to End Task out of it, and today I noticed that several Logos processes were running there--I think they were something like "PEF." Thankfully, my note is still there when I reopen the program.
I enter Notes frequently by right-clicking on the verse and selecting "Add Note" from the context menu. This freeze then happens perhaps 20% of the time and has started only within about the past week.
FWIW (but probably not relevant), though I'm running the free version, I have an extensive library because I've had Bible software for many years, with companies being bought out by others and transitioning me to the new programs probably about four times.

This sounds like a completely different problem than the one being reported in this post. I recommend creating a new thread and posting information about steps that might recreate the problem along with a log file.

Well, I'm not sure a freeze immediately upon opening the Notes window and one that happens while using it are completely different. It seems like at least similar behavior that bug-finders might want to be aware of. But I'll create a separate thread as requested.
