I should know how to do this, but I don't

I want to find all the times the Greek NT references Genesis in the LXX.  My Greek Testament has an index with that information, but I can't get it into a WORD document so I can copy and paste.

How can I do this on Logos?

I don't get notified if anyone responds to this, so if I am slow to respond, forgive me.

They don't know how to fix this.  They have tried.

thank you

Hi Larry – If you tell me what the title of your Greek Testament is I will see if I can do what you want.

They don't provide cross references. What makes you think they do?

Sorry Larry - I meant if you give me the title of the Greek Testament with the index that you cannot copy I would have a go at copying it myself and see if it is a universal problem.

    Hi Dave

I have a NA 26 print edition that I use away from the house.  It has cross references in a side column and an index in the back.  I can't even copy and paste that.  I would have to type the whole thing out.

Logos has the power lookup and cited by features that would do something like this, but I don't think it would give me only the references from Genesis.

Mike, I guess I am confused

My print Greek Testament has cross references and indicess.  The editions in Logos do not, as far as I can tell.

    Just looking at NA28 (LLS:NA28 / 2022-05-10, there's cross-refs.

But, it's not easy to see. Best I can see, the connecting symbol doesn't show; I see them in a PowerLookup.  Though that's not easy; some of the apparatus items get skipped, and not easy to see what attaches to what.

Adding, I think the nomenclature is getting confused.  NAxx offers the 'OT Quotation' search field, for access.

In Logos the cross references are in the Apparatus. I have NA28 Apparatus and can search it using heading/largetext:Genesis. But it is a section like

    image
    .

    2.6.9. = Gen 1:2, 6, 9   2s = Gen 1:2 (not sure about the 's')   2K = 2 Cor

So you have to do  some deciphering when printed, but hovering in Logos gives the English references.

It does not clarify whether the cross references are taken from the LXX or Hebrew. And any OT quotation in the NA28 Bible is in Greek, so you have to manually compare NT Greek with its  OT Greek in LXX  e.g.  Gen 1:2  LXX with 2 Cor 4:6

I see them.  I see them.

    I'll miss the UBS,

    thank you

I still have my original problem.

I want all the cross references in the Greek New Testament that are from Genesis.

I am going through it by hand now.

    thank you

    it worked.

At first I thought it didn't, but it opened in a floating window on another monitor.

This will save me a lot of time

    thank you again

Dave, you have helped me out so many times.
