BUG/REGRESSION in L34 RC1: Width of command box
Consider the following:
The first screenshot was made after running a shorter command (like "Update Now"), the second one after running a longer command ("Open A Map Showing the Order and Causes of Salvation and Damnation"). The command box increases to a size that would be needed to show the full command (which wasn't typed) and thereby pushes out half a dozen or more shortcuts. This was a bug some years ago and was fixed, today I found it returned (running L34 RC1 = L34.0.357 on Windows 11).
Please reinstate the correct behavior of displaying the empty command box in a standard width (half the size of the green box would be sufficient for me) and only making it larger during typing as needed. There's no need to adjust it to the theoretical length of the command. And return to standard width after execution of the command!
Have joy in the Lord!

This has been the behavior since Logos 8, and I don't remember it ever being "fixed". There does now seem to be a limit on how big the command box expands with the new Logos 10 toolbar. But I don't remember the expansion itself ever being fixed. I would have noticed and rejoiced, since the expanding command box is one of my biggest annoyances with Logos.
I did some testing with v33.2 in my main account and 34RC1 in my test account and they seem to be working the exact same way. I don't detect any difference in toolbar behavior.
Maybe someone from Logos can chime in on whether anything has been changed with respect to the behavior of the command box.

Here's a screen shot of the toolbars for 33.2 (Logos in light mode) and 34RC1 (Verbum in dark mode). I typed in Catena Aurea and chose the Matthew volume for both versions (just for the sake of choosing a really long title).
In both versions, the command box expanded to the exact same maximum width. I tried a few other titles that were a little shorter and and little longer and this seems to be the maximum width for Logos 10. There doesn't seem to be any change between v33 and v34. The only change I remember in command box expansion behavior is when we went (mercifully) from Logos 9 to Logos 10.

As Kiyah indicated, it's been like this for quite a long time. This is my personal #1 irritation in the application right now.
We do have an open case to improve this behavior, and I've added a link to this thread in the case notes.

Yes it is very irritating. It needs to be fixed.
