Greek Word Occurrence

Does anyone know how to turn on a Greek word occurrence feature without having to do a full morphological search? In Logos 3 I used to be able to see a word occurrence when clicking on a related greek word in UBS 4 or NA27. Now in Logos 4 it pulls up the ANLEX but I cannot see word occurrences. Any direction appreciated

I'm assuming all you would need to do is right click on the Greek word in question and select "Word Study." Part of the word study results will speak to specific occurrences as well as grammatical usage ect. In fact, the "Word Study" module is packed full of useful information. Take some time and become acquainted with it's various features.

Stephen, I think what you are looking for in Logos 4 is called sympathetic highlighting.You may not have it active in your Bible and Greek Testament. Here is the screen shot of where to click. It is on the drop down menu accessed by the three circle icon:

In Logos 4 you do not left click to see the highlighting. A double left click will just launch the link function which in this case opens ANLEX. Instead highlight the word by holding down the left mouse button and dragging across the word or words you want to see in the other text. (Both texts have to have sympathetic highlighting active). It isn't as simple but it is there.

Can you explain why you mean by a "word occurrence"? What exactly used to happen in L3?

Are you looking to find out how many occurrences of this Greek word there are (which could be done in Logos 3 under the vocab lists feature, which isn't implemented yet in L4)? If so, there are other ways to do this, but we need more clarification on what you're asking.

I am just looking for a faster process such as that with accordance, which gives the word occurrence (# of times in NT and in how many verses e.g. 12 / 7) with out having to do a word study or morphological search for each word I highlight/hover over or double click the left mouse button on (which at present links me to the ANLEX) I am wondering if the word occurence feature is not appearing in the Information window when highlighting (like it did in Logos 3), or is it only available within the particular Lexicon that is linked to the double click on the left mouse button.

It doesn't look like that information is displayed in the information tool in L4. But getting that information is less complicated than what you describe:

Right click on word > select "Lemma" from the right side of the right-click menu > select "Search this resource." The result is a search of whatever resource you're looking at (a Greek NT, or the underlying Greek of a reverse interlinear), and on the first line under the search parameters is the word count and number of verses (e.g. "428 results in 398 verses" for ἀκούω - from John 14:24 searched in NIV and in NA27 with same results).

I suspect that in Logos 3 you had the Enhanced Strong's Lexicon prioritised, and in Logos 4 you have ANLEX prioritised. ESL gives you the occurences of the word (I think it's the only lexicon in Logos that does).

All you need to do, therefore, is to prioritise ESL. If you've not prioritised before, all you need to do is go to library, click prioritise on the right, then drag ESL over below your five Bibles. The word occurrence \ # verses appeared in the L3 Information Window and was effectively the result of "search this resource" for the lemma in NA27/UBS4. It is not provided in L4 so the above suggestions to "search this resource" or perform a BWS will have to suffice.

I do this two ways. See screenshot below. I use the information window and have the EDNT prioritized, or set the information window to use that resource. I then click on the link in the information window to the EDNT which has word occurrence.

The second is to use the EG select the word to populate and then click more.

I would prefer the information show up in the information window if it does not slow things down.
