NIV2011, Mac 4.0b SR-2 and Indexing

Due to problems with the NIV2011 version and Logos 4 Mac 4.0b, we've temporarily made the NIV2011 unavailable for download from Logos 4 Mac 4.0b. Users on the beta channel will be able to use the NIV 2011. We're working on having an update to Logos 4 Mac 4.0b which will allow users to use the NIV 2011 soon.
If you are having problems with your indexer and you are running version 4.0b, you can temporarily hide the NIV2011 by opening Program Settings from the Tools menu, opening your Library and dragging the NIV (2011 edition has a yellow cover) to the Hidden Resources section of Preferences pane.
When you restart Logos 4, the indexing should be able to complete normally.
Forum user Keep Smilin' for Jesus has posted a couple of workarounds for 4.0b users who have already downloaded the NIV 2011 version. http://community.logos.com/forums/p/28667/212131.aspx#212131

Praying for service release that is stable along with quality family and fellowship time for those working on fix (appreciate Sabbath update).

Hiding resource was first workaround in http://community.logos.com/forums/p/28667/212131.aspx#212131 - Thanks for elaborating [H]

I'm taking the rest of the weekend off (other than answering this post). It's been a long week and I'm looking forward to church tonight and some family time the rest of the weekend.
We'll look at the issue more on Monday and put the updated version through testing before we ship it out.

(Answered chiastically): No, Yes (almost). You won't have to pay for it, but you will have to go get your free upgrade to the KF collections. You can actually get the upgrade now and it will download automatically when we get the Mac 4.0b issues worked out.

because its listed as a "maintenance update", does that mean it will also help it be more stable, run a bit faster, etc?River of Life Church: http://LifeOverflowing.org

The KF Base Package maintenance update is a change of resources included in a base package. If have purchased a LE base package, the free crossgrade to KF adds some resources to library, including NIV 2011 translation (cannot be indexed in Mac 4.0b SR-2; looking forward to Mac 4.0b SR-3).
The current Beta 4.2a Beta 4 can index NIV2011 - Wiki has Beta information and risks (including Beta bugs may not be fixed for many weeks) => http://wiki.logos.com/The_Logos_4_Beta_Program (runs a bit faster)
If want to join a Beta cycle, can use command 'set update channel to beta' - once Beta installed, then use command 'set update channel to default' (receive Beta updates until 4.2a stable release). Mac Beta forum has many threads with current issues => http://community.logos.com/forums/90.aspx Caution: stable issues receive priority (e.g. NIV 2011 indexing) over Beta feature improvements.
Anticipating Logos 4.2a to be nearly feature complete with PC, notably lacking revamped Handouts. Logos 4.2a Beta 4 does have sentence diagramming along with printing progress.

We found the problem. We'll be testing changes and we'll put out an updated release in the next day or so.

Has this been released yet? Haven't seen anymore about it and still have the old edition of NIV. Thanks in advance.

Yes...it should download automatically if you have upgraded your base package to "KF."
