crash when clicking on Greek text to activate BAG

Hi.

Just this morning I starting have the following problem. When I click on a word in SBL NT, Logos 4 crashes. I tried this several times, rebooted and tried twice more with the same results.

I still cannot reproduce your crash. I am using 4.2a Beta 5. Which version are you using? It would help others to troubleshoot your problem if you would post log files. See the first link in my signature for instructions. The second link describes LogosLogScribe which will automate much of the process.

Apologies - unable to replicate using 4.0b SR-4 (4.10.4.9457) and updated SBLGNT resource (Jan 21, 2011).

Log files show version 4.0b SR-2 (4.10.4.8574) - wonder about updating to version 4.0b SR-4 (4.10.4.9457), released on Jan 18, 2001 ?

Suggest running commands Update Now (should download and install 4.0b SR-4) and Update Resources

If downloads do not automatically start (Blue icon in menu bar), may need to restart Mac

Hi, Tom. Sorry to keep you waiting. I'm involved in a project recording seminary courses on DVD for use in Brazil, had to go to the national convention of the Brazilian Baptists in Rio (yes, we did indeed spend a few minutes on the beach at Copacabana), and have been out of pocket. I am looking for the update option, as per Jack's orientations, prior to saving the logs. I am using Logos Bible Software 4.0b SR-4 (4.10.4.9457). I did not see a place to select this option.

To update to SR-4, try entering "Update Now" in the Command Bar. Or you can download the latest stable release from http://www.logos.com/logos4mac.

I was able to run the update. Logos crashed again on the same word, and I immediately created the log files. 0753.Archive.zipPlease find attached.

This looks like a crash in Apple's code laying out the text. Can you try making your window bigger (or smaller) and seeing if you can reproduce the crash?

I reduced the size of the window and the link executed. I changed the size of the window to somewhere between small and fullscreen, and clicked on the word to execulte the keylink. I do not know whether the window sizing or the click provoked the crash, but ithe program shut down.7776.Archive.zip
