Copying Passage Guide contents to a Note

You can copy links & contents of the Passage Guide into your Notes.

1. Open your PG to your verse. Then expand the sections that you want to copy
(of course images will not be copied)

2. From the PG open the Print/Export window. (click on menu icon and select Print/Export)
In the Print/Export window click on Copy to clipboard.

3. Now open your Note file and simply paste into a note (right click in a note's body and click on paste). This may take several seconds for larger content before it appears in your note.

Notice that the links to your commentaries are valid as well as links to scriptures are too.

After thanking you for the information, I tried this in L4 Mac. "Copy to Clipboard" is not an option in the Print/Export Window. Which release of L4 are you using? I have 4.2a SR-4 because of a bug in 4.3 Beta 2 that will not allow me to log in.

i'm running on a windows PC which has 4.2a Sr4.

Are you running the windows version in Mac? Or are you using the Mac stable release?
After re-reading your post, i see you are running the stable release of the Mac. Sorry to hear that this sub feature of Print/Export is not available yet in the Mac. Hopefully it will be in the near future as the Mac moves even closer to parity with the windows version. So for all you Mac users mark this post as a favorite so that you can return to it in the future.

i can see this feature that i discovered as useful when i study in that:

i can add my notes under each link to commentaries, Topic words and such. And delete items which were not useful.
My notes all appear at once in the note file and i do not have to open each section to view notes as i would in the PG.
My notes & PG are saved into a note file where i can easily find it. (rather than a saved PG which can be hard to locate). Plus a note file is more difficult to delete verses a saved PG.
i get a time stamp when pasting into my note.
i can also make a hyperlink to the original PG at the top of the note to bring me back.

You can also use the above technique to:

1. Copy the History window into a note. This might come in handy when wanting to document where you have been in a study.

2. Copy links in Biblical People/Places/Things into a note.
