There are no text letters and bibliography references at the botom of the pages) in the Amplified Bible. Some of this (which is in the book version ) is necessary for copyright purposes. How can I get this from the electronic Bible...As it is not there. Apparently the Lockman foundation did not include it....ON THE ELECTRONIC BIBLE AS THEY DID IN THE BOOK VERSION....IT IS COPYRIGHT INFRIGMENT TO COPY THESE PAGES WITHOUT THE REFERANCES

I'm a bit confused by your post - normally the copyright credits and the bibliography are two separate items. I don't have the Amplified version to check. It would depend upon how the Lockman Foundation negotiated the rights for the copyright material what they would need to include in their publication - printed or electronic.

EDIT: I went onto Amazon to see the bibliography - it is just that - a list of the resources used for the notes, most of which appear to be out of copyright. There is no mention of permissions for the material which is under copyright. I suspect that Lockman/Zondervan believe their use to fall within fair use guidelines.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

    Alan, welcome to the forums.

we are not very clear, what exactly it is you are looking for. Is it the bibliography?

You will find it right at the back of the bible:

The bibliography will give the references for works cited in the notes, see for example this footnote explaining cherubim in Gen 3:24. You see the small "d" to the left of the word? If you move your mouse over it, the footnote displays.

Alternatively, you may open the "power lookup" screen (from the right-click context menu), it will scroll with the bible text and give you all footnotes as well as references.

This footnote cites Baker's dictionary and you will find the bibliographic reference in the bibliography at the end of the book:

I asssume this is the same information you'd find in the printed bible as well. Does this explain what you were looking for?
