Hello,
In a passage list there is a little box called "Reference" which can be used to add new verses to a passage list. This is a handy feature. However, if I type in a reference that is already in the list somewhere, then even though I hit "Enter" to add this verse, nothing happens. For example, let's say I already have Col 1:16 somewhere up there in my (somewhat long) passage list. I type in Col 1:16 in the reference box, hit Enter. Logos does nothing. I suppose this is by design and it is Logos' way of telling me, "Hey, you already have that verse in this list, you don't need to add it again. That's just redundant."
I have two problems with this:
- If this is Logos' way of pointing out redundancy to me, then it should be more explicit about it. It should give me some clear message indicating why it won't do what I want it to do. Some users might be left baffled as to why "Enter" usually works in a passage list reference box, but sometimes it simply doesn't work.
- There may be certain times that I actually want to have the same text twice in a passage list. Some of my passage lists are topical (using the "Insert heading") function, and sometimes the same verse fits well under two headings. The only way I can accomplish this at the present is to go and find the previous occurrence of the particular verse, and then use the copy & paste function. But it shouldn't be that hard.
Thanks for considering this and hopefully putting it on your to-do list.
