Gentlemen, I thank you all for your expertise, and the amazing software lesson, but I am afraid that I am going to have to abandon the idea of any Personal Book in Logos 4, while it would certainly be nice to build a book there, I cannot and will not continue to "Jump through all these hoops," in order to accomplish something that is actually a simple task.

I know that the syntax structure and other processes that one has to perform in the source documents, in order for that document to properly communicate with Logos 4, is simple, if you have the right software.  This is understandable from the Logos 4 designers point of view, who more than likely designed this software based upon the most popular word processing software that most people use.

All is not lost however, I can actually continue to produce this book "outside," of Logos 4 with my present software Iworks, publish it, send it to my Iphone and have it appear in an application called IBooks, at that point I can distribute, gain access to it on the go, or do with it as I determine.

Take care and God Bless you all.

Living and learning: Microsoft Office 2004, 2008, and 2011 for Mac can save files as docx.

Office 2004 needs 11.5.0 update and Open XML File Format Convertor => http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953823

To use Word 2010 on Mac, can run Windows in a virtual machine (also could run Logos 4 PC in virtual machine). Wiki Logos 4 Mac => Need Logos 4 PC feature? includes some virtualization tips.

This question is for Ben, what version of Word Processor did you use to correct my flawed document ?

To anyone else, Exactly which version of MS Word or Office do I have to get in order to create a complete Logos Personal Book, with TOC and all?

Word 2007 or Word 2010 work for both text/headings/Pictures

Word 2003 works for text/headings (at this time it does not work for Pictures)

Yes and No, if need right to left language support, suggest looking at Mellel, Scrivener, or LibreOffice.  Note: LibreOffice is free and has configuration option for complex language support.

Also appears Word 2008 may have trouble using hyperlinks, which has workaround syntax [[ text >> logosres:url-link]]
