Can someone tell me how to construct a theology collection that contains titles with the name "theology" and "doctrine" and "evangelical review of theology" in it? I apparently do not understand the commands AND and OR because
theology OR, doctrine, OR evangelical review - gets me less and less resources...

Here is my collection and settings. Let me know if you need more explanation. I've included the hits so you can see the kind of things it returns.
John,
I get what you asked...here you go....cut and paste..
title:theology OR title:doctrine OR title:"evangelical review"
Did you type title:theology
I get most of what you mentioned above, but not sure if this covered everything. Is there something more specific you are looking for?
Charlene
For just these three you would want title:theology OR title:doctrine OR title:evangelical review. I think the commas are throwing you off.
Cool! Thanks a lot, guys. I think I got it now. The screenshot really helped, Philip!
Phil,
Thanks for the reply and specific example. Though I am not a stranger to "booleen" types of searches and functions, I did not realize how important they are in 4.0.

philip...
doesn't he need quotes around the evangelical review?
There you go...now isn't that nice....?
No name calling...no broad brush pronouncments that Bob Pritchett is satan...
Just a few brothers helping each other out...

Yes, otherwise it's going to be unpredictable.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.
One thing to keep in mind with my example is that once the meta data is cleared up the Theological journal will probably get tagged as a journal which would remove it. Also somewhere else I've heard that there is a type "magazine". I do not have any of these resources, though.
I will have to check the Magazine format since I have the BAR collection which I highly recommend. A great list of resources for doing papers.

Thanks, Philip, for the screen shot. I realized that I did not have 3 of the books that should be included!

Your very welcome. Glad I could help.

Also, the Archaeology Odyssey and the Biblical Archaeologist are in the Magazine format.

My guess is that with the corrections to the Metadata these things will be standardized, even though there is a difference between a magazine and a journal, I suppose. I'm holding out for the Metadata touch ups before going hog wild with collections.

Me too
There is indeed a type:magazine
It includes things like Biblical Archaeology Review
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
