Help!! I don't have a "/Users/username/Library/ApplicationSupport/Logos 4" folder

Hello all,
It's been a while since I used Logos on my mac, and yesterday I decided to get things up and running again.
I had Libronix 1.2.2 engine installled using Logos3 resources. Now, I purchased the minimal crossgrade option to Logos4. I installed, it appeared to update/download my library (my free space went from 21gb to 10gb after the install and indexing), but I can't seem to find out where all this data is stored! I have seen frequent reference to "/Users/username/Library/ApplicationSupport/Logos 4" folder, but this doesn't exist on my MB. Can anyone tell me where the resources and index files are actually located? Logos 4 appears to have indexed (I can do searches) and all seems to be working fine, I just want to know where they are to exclude from Time Machine.
Also, can I safely remove the Libronix DLS folder including the "old" resources under application support? I would like to keep a clean machine, and free up all available hard drive space. I don't have any need to run Logos 3 and 4 simultaneously.
Thanks in advance... I've tried searching the forum to no avail!

Karl, welcome to the forums
You haven't by chance upgraded to Lion on your MB have you? If so your Library folder is now hidden and you'll need to take some steps to unhide it.

Paul,
Thanks for the quick reply. In fact, no, I haven't upgraded to Lion. I have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and I was considering that it might be hidden, so I'm currently trying to find an app to show hidden files.... also running OmniDiskSweeper to see where the big files are.
Also, do you know if it's safe to delete the Libronix DLS folder under application support? I assume some or all of the resources there are not being shared with Logos 4, but I don't know for sure if that's true.
Thanks,
Karl

alright, then the good thing is that it is not hidden and should be found through your username folder. to access Logos you should follow a path like this:
/Users/*username*/Library/Application Support/Logos4/
I'm not sure on what can be deleted in application support. Its been discussed before so I'll see if I can find it.

Paul,
Duh, I'm an idiot. I neglected to look at /users/ and was looking at the root library/application support folder. Thanks! So, after all that, do you know if all my resources are there and if its safe to delete the libronix stuff to save space? (several gb)

As I recall Libronix 1.2.2 is no longer compatible with Snow Leopard 10.6.8. The bulk of the program would be your resources (found in the Libronix DLS resource folder) which should be ok to delete in the Libronix installation. Just make sure you don't delete the L4 resources (/Users/*username*/Library/Application Support/Logos4/) or you'll have to download them again.
I'm unsure how to safely uninstall 1.2.2 on Mac as I never installed it. Maybe a Logos person can jump in here and help us out.

Wiki has Logos 4 Mac => Mini FAQ that includes:
How to remove Old Version of Logos for Mac v.1?
Logos article has uninstallation steps => http://www.macbiblesoftware.com/support/articles/1002/ Observation: of all Part 2 files to uninstall, only font files possibly used with Logos 4 (and other applications).

Thanks Paul and KS4J!
Ah.. so it was Safari 5 that rendered my 1.2.2 unusable! Was wondering what happened.

Logos for Mac v 1.2.2 uses Safari browser with javascript to render resources for display. When Apple upgraded to Safari 5, backward compatibility was not maintained. In contrast, when Microsoft upgraded to Internet Explorer 9, a registry key can be set to use older javascript rendering, which allows Libronix 3.0g to be usable in Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 9.
Wiki Logos 4 Mac => Mini FAQ includes:
What about Old Version of Logos for Mac v.1?
Final production version of Logos for Mac 1.2.2 (released on 17 Sep 2009) essentially became an e-Book reader after Safari 5 update on 20 July 2011 (released with OS X Lion); older Mac OS X options: try restoring previous Safari version =>http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20110722154439693 OR downgrade Safari to older 4.0.5 => http://itsalltech.com/2010/07/11/how-to-downgrade-safari-5-to-safari-4-on-mac-os-x/ (not applicable for OS X Lion). The old Logos for Mac software can peacefully coexist with Logos 4 Mac, but cannot read new Logos 4 file format, only older Libronix format.
