Heres my NT markup, but it isnt working in OT, even when I say "All Passages"
Can any one convert these to Hebrew Morph so I can make my markup consistant?
Dominic,
You can't simply transpose Greek morphology into Hebrew. There is no direct correlation to the Greek Tenses and other aspects.
@V??M might be @V?M or @V?[MT]in Andersen Forbes - Middle [and Reflexive] voice of a Verb but others would disagree vehemently that there is voice in a Hebrew verb.
@N would be @N - a noun - that works although it will highlight the prepositions and articles and conjunctions that are prefixed to the nouns as well - unlike in Greek
Chris
I understand that you cant just swap them
but I simply want future verbs yellow, other verbs green
I guess as there is no imperative case, there will be no red highlights.
There must be a way
In Hebrew the verbs express Complete and Incomplete action. That can be in the futre (it will be complete; it will be incomplete) or in the past (it is complete; it is incomplete) There is no future or past tense.
For example,
"The Imperfect Form refer, broadly speaking, to incomplete events that often could be translated with the present or future tense"Christo Van der Merwe, Jackie Naudé, Jan Kroeze et al., A Biblical Hebrew Reference Grammar, electronic ed. (Oak Harbor: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 1997), 70.
There is an imperative. God gave commands. But there is also a Jussive which is like the 3rd person Imperative in Greek.
If there were a way, you can probably bet that Logos would have implemented this in L2 or L3 for sure.
