Is there a way to import "Bible Illustrator" data?

We have years of sermon illustrations and background information in a "Bible
Illustrator" database, entered by a dedicated research assistant.

Can this be imported into Logos 4?  If not, is there a companion program that works in conjunction with Logos?

Thank you for any insights.

    Welcome [:D]

Logos 4.3 added Personal Books tool; wiki has => Personal Books

The "Bible Illustrator" database could be copied (exported) into docx file(s), which can be built as a Personal Book(s) for use in Logos 4.

For personal book(s) that have no copyright issues, may want to consider sharing in Files forum.

Logos has future plans for a Personal Book store.

    Keep Smiling [:)]

I really appreciate your quick response. Thank you!

I have tried Personal Books - and I like it.  We have over 3,000 entries (I'm guessing - it could be double that), and I'm trying to figure out how to get all that in while maintain discrete tagging and searching. Many of the documents have tags that are not based on document content, but on categories.

You may be interested in using the additional fields available for Personal books, especially Subject Heading, which may be suitable to reflect your categories.

The PB compiler doesn't allow to populate the Tags field (an oversight), but you can use the Personal Tags in the library to tag the books.

That said, it seems that maybe the functionality of L3's Sermon Add-In would be better suited to your purpose - this will be brought to L4 but it seems to be at least a year away.

Thanks Mick! I opened up L3, and I can't find that sermon add-in. Is it still available from the website? Or is it in there somewhere and hidden from me?

If I use it to import, can I move it over to L4 once that is installed?

Lucas, while other Addins (Logos calls them "addin" instead of "add-on" for whatever reason) are still available from the website, I wasn't able to find this. I have never used it personally, so maybe others can explain or show. Don't know if it always had to be bought individually or was part of a base packe, sorry.

OK. Thanks for your help. I'll give my energy to the Personal Books for now. The research assistant is getting some pressure to use another Bible program, but I think he would lose a lot of functionality. Happy Easter!
