I'm looking forward to the Dictionary of Christian Antiquities (and I hope more people realize what a valuable treasure trove this is and bid on it).
Please also add Community Pricing projects for the following dictionaries, also overseen by William Smith:
A Dictionary of Greek and Roman Antiquities

Dictionary of Greek and Roman Biography and Mythology (this is cross referenced by the Dictionary of Christian Biography, below)

A Dictionary of Christian Biography, Literature, Sects and Doctrines (with Henry Wace) - I'm about 1/3 of the way through doing a PB of the one-volume edition of this (from CCEL) but would gladly abandon it or turn over to you what I've done so far if you put it in CP, preferably the fuller 4-volume edition (vol 1, vol 2)

EDIT: Here's another one that I've come across cross-references to in a PB I'm working on, and it has 44 hits in my Logos library:
Murray's Illustrated Bible Dictionary, edited by the Rev. William C. Piercy. With coloured maps and 365 illustrations. (London: John Murray, 1909)

When it comes to Public Domain works, there is usually nothing stopping us from getting it up on CP as soon as possible.
If you ever see something you think would be great to have in CP, post it on the forums.
Also, you can email me personally at cliff [dot] kvidahl [at] logos [dot com] and I will do what I can to help get more PD books in Logos.

Hi Cliff!
I hope I reach you before the flood of requests!
1. Can I suggest that you complete WIlliam Smith's work by adding "Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography"? It seems the most interesting of the three and I think there are lots of folks who would want it in Logos.
2. Also, would love to see "The New Archaeological Discoveries and their Bearing on the New Testament" by Camden Coburn. It references many discoveries spoken of in Ramsey and others, and contains info I have not found elsewhere.
3. How about George Adam Smith's "The Historical Geography of the Holy Land: Especially in Relation to the History of Israel and the Early Church".? A real classic work.
I'll stop there and see if you have any success with these. if so, I can offer a few more suggestions! :-)(oops! Can't resist... a collection of Andrew Murray's works? There have been LOTS of requests for these in the forums!! Thx!!)

Hi EmileB,
I'm not sure if you were aware, but we posted Smith's "Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography" to CP about a month ago, and just added another one of his dictionaries today, "A Dictionary of Christian Biography, Literature, Sects and Doctrines."
Enjoy!

Yes, Brandy, I was quite aware of the appearance of Smith's Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography about a month ago... in fact, I was probably the first to bid on it. I'm champing at the bit for this one to enter production. It would be very useful to me.
I have to agree with Rosie... the Dictionary of Christian Antiquities, Dictionary of Greek and Roman Antiquities, Dictionary of Greek and Roman Biography and Mythology, and now the Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography are ABSOLUTE GEMS! They are real treasure troves of information unavailable elsewhere. These classical resources havn't really been equaled or replaced by more modern works... and their content really isn't dated. They are still very useful for background studies and for referencing issues of the NT world and the world of the early Church. I don't understand why folks haven't very quickly been bidding these into production... they are really missing out on some fantastic resources.
I also have bid on the Dictionary of Christian Biography that you just posted. The suggested bid was $45, but that was just because the bid line was absolutely flat and that was the mid point. I bid $25 (and will probably alter that later to something lower, based on the response). Anyone else bidding the same as I have would probably drive the suggested bid price down from $45 to $25 (or less) almost immediately.
I sometimes have wondered if it wouldn't be better to bundle all of these into a "Classic Dictionaries Bundle".... maybe that would encourage folks to bid on them, helping them to recognize that they are really getting a great bargain.

Hi Brandy
With all these Bible Dictionaries being posted, is Logos going to include the full 3 volume William Smith "Dictionary of the Bble" (1863)? You sell the (condensed) one volume version, but the full thing is far better and much more useful than the more esoteric ones you are CPing at present.
