I just received an email for the academic discount.  There is only one problem - I graduated from college over 15 years ago.Smile

Ronald,

This was an error on our part. We had some emails intended for students in our academic program which were inadvertently sent to several users not in the academic program. I'm sorry for our mistake.

Likewise was wondering if Logos knew something about my future.

Also noticed email has an academic subscription.

I am not ready to go back to school yet (I graduated from grad school about a year ago, have a bunch of kids and want to wait for them to grow up). However, I'm hoping that this match is a fruitful and lasting one. The idea of this program and the pairing with Logos is very appealing to me.

The only reason I say that is to give my thumbs up even though I can't quite vote with my wallet and/or time right now.

I got an email, too, and I am on the academic program. My email said my discount was about to expire. The only problem is that it doesn't expire until September. I wouldn't classify 4 months as "about to".

I'd love to ... but between the costs (which I have no money to cover) and the time (having three kids, coaching six soccer teams/year, working part time for the Ontario Soccer Association, being Dean of the local church conference, being on the Synod Council of the Synod, and trying to fit in my *real* job of being a parish pastor) it just isn't possible.  (Maybe in 12 years when the youngest is out of the house and the oldest hasn't returned home yet Wink then I'll be able to seriously consider it--until then I'll just dream and pray and wait).

Peace & Blessings,

Colin+

I've only got some Bible school training to my credit. The one reason I made the leap into Logos is that it's as close to getting anywhere near the study resources of a higher degree at a bargain price. The cost of Logos is a tiny fraction what I'd spend on tuition if I wanted to go back to school.

I got the email too.  Oddly enough, I never had the academic discount to begin with (my first purchase with Logos came about 6 months after I finished seminary).  In case anyone is interested, I did try clicking on the link, only to find that the prices were the same as they had been all along for me.  Also noticed another bug with the email - the "learn more" and "buy" (or something to that effect) buttons at the top just contained links to the image files of the buttons - not very helpful.  At the bottom of the email the buttons showed up again, and were, in fact, actual links.
