Considering moving from PC laptop to a tablet with external keyboard, either an Android system or IPad2. Will I have problems accessing features of my Logos 4?

My iPad 2 is nowhere near the capabilities of my laptop.

It's a nice idea but the software is just not there yet.

Thanks, Taxee. I just discovered the Android and IPad specific forums (forae?) and, as you have said,  it looks like I could supplement, but not replace my laptop capabilities as of yet. Maybe next generation!

What keyboard?  If you're using a tablet, you should have a cuneus.  [;)]

The iPad app works great, but it is very limited in scope. It is mainly designed to read your books. You can do a simple search and a few other functions, but mainly you would use it to read and highlight your books. It does sync very nicely. However, you could not replace your laptop with it for Logos.

i have an asus transformer prime and the app for logos is getting better.  however, it will never be able to replace logos on your pc.  they are great for reaing though.  i read about twice as much since getting my tablet.

just fy, tablets cant really replace a pc totally.  they are really more for consuming information than producing it.

    Welcome [:D]

Alternative tablet idea is spending similar amount of money to purchase a refurbished Dell Latitude ST tablet running Windows 7 with 2 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, and netbook CPU: 1.5 GHz Atom.  Dell Outlet (on twitter) has a 20 % discount code.  The Dell Stylus has a AAA battery that greatly increases accuracy when pointing at the screen, including tapping on on-screen keyboard.

Personally used a different laptop to index my Logos 4 library, then used method 1 on Wiki page => http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers

Logos 4 is sluggish to use (similar to a netbook); several actions are tap and wait.  Thankful can show visual filter highlighting in my Logos library and search.

Caveat: tend to use subset of my visual filters due to sluggishness.  Also noticed Logos 4 usage has tendency to drain battery a bit faster.

    Keep Smiling [:)]
