Several years ago, when I used Logos 3, I updated and went all out and went with Logos 4 Scholar.

Now, with the new laptop, I have no licenses?  Really?  Can someone please help.

A very grateful advanced thank you.

Have you given the installation time to download & index? Are you absolutely sure you are using the right username & password? What happens when you use your credentials at biblia.com? Do you see your resources there?

I downloaded the .exe from the logos site and am using my username & password.  Yes, when I use biblia.com I have a ton of resources. When is/was my pc supposed to download & index?  It just downloaded the program and fired up.  I looked everywhere in the program for an update, index, or license option.... to no avail.

Thoughts?

You should contact Logos Support to check out your license.

Have you tried to use the command, "update now"?

or maybe necessary: "update resources", since AFAIK this compares the local resources to the licence on the server and triggers download if the local file is outdated or missing

1)  Do you have Use Internet set to Yes?

2) Do you have Automatic Updates set to Yes?

If either of these are set to No the program won't, naturally, download anything on its own. And if Automatic Updates is set to a particular time [interval] it won't update anything until that time.

(I believe a change in these settings requires a restart to take effect.)

3) Try using update now in the command box. Or restart, if you haven't already done that.

4) Try using update resources in the same place.

5) Call Logos for help. They open in a few minutes.

Well... I restarted the program and it has said "Preparing your library... this may take a while".

THAT WAS THREE DAYS AGO and it still says the same thing.

Any idea what is going on?

It can take hours for the program to download all of your resources and get them ready.  My best advice is to turn it on and let it run overnight.

It's been running for 3 days without closing the program?  Or everytime you open the program for the last three days it has been running?

I opened the program three days ago and it has been "preparing" ever since.  I have left it alone, until today.

Restart the computer & Logos and see what happens. If that doesn't work, let us know your computer specs and post logs: http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
