It seems as if I have to dock a book before I can place a bookmark in it. Is this true or am I missing something

Thanks. Okay, what doesn't work. I have 3 panels open -Favorites, a random book, and Help. The random book is in a floating window. I am reading the book then I click on the next bookmark. It always bookmarks Help. But you are right. If I do the key method rather than the mouse method it works. I'll call it an undocumented "feature" rather than a bug.

I just discovered the same "feature"--but I'm calling it a bug, because if you are reading along in a book and want to move your existing bookmark, you first have to use the mouse to clear the old one, then switch to the keyboard to set it in the new place.

If you don't have anything at all open in the main window except Favorites, you can use the mouse to set the bookmark to the floating window.  But if there's anything else open in the main window, L4 ignores the floating window when trying to set a bookmark with the mouse.
