[SUGGESTION] - More Classic Commentary!

I don't claim for this list to be exhaustive, authoritative, or wide appealing. In fact each commentary on the list comes straight from Charles Spurgeon's Commenting and Commentaries. The list is comprised of all of the bolded titles in Spurgeon's original work (bolding not found in the Logos edition) indicating a title Spurgeon recommended. This list excludes the works currently already in CP or Pre Pub.

I would like to share a book by Anthony Burgesse "The True Doctrine of Justification."
6355.Burgesse Anthony - The True Doctrine of Justification.docx
I don't have a picture of it to share, if someone has one I would be pleased to receive one.
Who is Anthony Burgesse: He was a son of a schoolmaster at Watford, and not related to Cornelius Burgess or John Burges, his predecessor at Sutton Coldfield. He studied at St. John's College, Cambridge from 1623. He became a Fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge. At Emmanuel he was tutor to John Wallis.
From 1635 he was Rector at Sutton Coldfield; during the First English Civil War, he took refuge in Coventry, and lectured the parliamentary garrison. He was a member of the Westminster Assembly. He lost his position as Rector in 1662, after the Restoration, despite John Hacket's urging to conform, and then and lived at Tamworth.

Dear Liam
I would be interested in Thomas Chalmers Sabbath Readings, I produced the seven volumes for you.

Stephen thank you! Chalmers is one of the authors that I'm eagerly anticipating Logos to include more of! These are great and they contain a lot of stuff of his I've never heard of before. It looks like his Sabbath Scripture Readings are contained in a different set of his works called his Post Humous Works. Logos has said that they will eventually release that set via community pricing. It's great to see some of his stuff that I did not know about! Thanks again!

I wonder if we should move this forum over to the Reformed Products page and see if Gabe could look into all of these. He has already said he'd look into the similar post (of Spurgeon's entire list of whole Bible commentaries) by Mark Barnes here. So I imagine he'd be willing to look into all of these as well! Perhaps they could even bundle them for each Bible book in bundles called "Spurgeon's Recommended Commentaries for ______."
If we can't get the post rebranded to the Reformed page or get Gabe's comment on it, maybe we just will need to repost it there so he sees it.

Isn't this the same as the commentary on the minor prophets that is included in Barnes' Notes? These two volumes are not written by Barnes but by E.B.Pusey.

I see what you're saying Hendrik. In Spurgeon's Commenting and Commentaries both are listed as separate entries under the 'Minor Prophets' section. If I had to guess, the Barnes' Notes edition builds off of the earlier published Pusey MP commentary:
[EDIT] - Ha! Totally mistook the Lange entry as the Barnes entry in the above screen shot. Hendrik, even though I can't match the publishing dates, you may very well be right!

There are a number of Isaac Williams commentaries currently on Community Pricing - two as part of Classic Commentary Upgrades. I would like to suggest his 'The Psalms interpreted of Christ' (London: Rivingtons, 1864) - possibly as part of a Classic Commentaries on the Psalms Upgrade. It looks like he only finished 1 volume, covering the first 26 psalms, but Spurgeon said of it:
"This writer is of the High Church school, but he is very spiritual and deep, and we seldom turn to him without profit."
It doesn't seem to be on Google books or archive.org so a Logos edition would be especially valuable.
Anyone have any other suggestions for a Classic Psalms Commentary upgrade?
There are a few others highly recommended by Spurgeon that we don't yet have, eg
Sir Richard Baker: "...We have often tried to quote from him and have found ourselves so embarrassed with riches that we have been inclined to copy the whole book. Why it has not been reprinted, and made to pass through fifty editions, we cannot tell."
John Boys: "From his golden pen flows condensed wisdom. Many of his sentences are worthy to be quoted as gems of the Christian classics."
Robert Leighton: "Everything that fell from his pen is worth its weight in diamonds." (his whole works would be a valuable addition)
W. Wilson: "He is a clear, gospel Expositor, and has written much that is weighty and precious."0
