How do we enable this on Logos 5? I found the instructions for Logos 4, but I am not sure how to get this to function on Logos 5.

Enabling logging on L5 should be the same as in L4.

I should have been more specific... How do I set it so that it is always on.

I think it reflects some changes that were needed for the Mac, but someone else can help if it does not work.

Forgive my complete ignorance, but doesn't that only work for Logos 4?

Also, I cannot even find where the log files are stored for Logos 5? I can find several of them in a Logos 4 folder, but I do not even see a folder for Logos 5.

I had the same question: nope, it works for both.

The reason is that L5 is designed to write on top of L4 and replace it. Thus, for expediency many of the same keys - even using hte L4 name are repeated.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Your Logos 5 installation wrote over the L4 one. The folders remain in place, including the naming (Logos 4). A little annoying, yes. Smile

Since you found the L4 folder, I assume that you know how to reveal your user library in your finder window on 10.7 & 10.8?

If you are trying to use the applescript program to turn Logging on & off, there are some additional steps you have to take when using Mountain Lion. By default, Apple has turned the ability to run unsigned apps OFF (for your protection). The applescript app was written by a fellow MVP and is unsigned. I hope that Logos will address the situation somehow… (either releasing their own signed, or by signing the current app).

There is a way to get around this… you need to enable the ability to install unsigned apps.

Yes, I am good to go now. Thank you.

Also, thank you for the reminder about the applescript/gatekeeper issue. I read about that and knew that, but failed to check into it when I encountered the problem. I was assuming that the problem at first was related to the naming issue. Now, everything makes sense and is working.

Wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging

Logos 5 does use the same registry modification as Logos 4 for diagnostic Logging in Windows.

For OS X, the defaults command has changed a bit; wiki now has => http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging#Logos_5_for_OS_X

Part of my problem might have been that the Wiki (might have) had an outdated script. Looks like KS4J just updated the applescript to work with both L4 and L5: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34277.aspx .
