is this possible simple suggestions logos 5 , upgrade info

hi
over the years I've upgraded to different packages my previous upgrade was logos platinum 4
sometimes it's important to get things in a programme graphics etc arranged that is pleasing to the eye
this can get a bit complicated with people who have dyslexia, I found that version 5 is very pleasing to the eye with all the new graphic symbols
next to any menus and other functions ,this was missing in the previous versions
there's one thing I don't like is that the ribbon has been moved to the left side, I find this a distraction,
I wonder if this can be made to disappear then when you move your mouse pointer to the side, it comes back out ,and it stays out until you click, on it again which makes it disappear
what I did next was to upgrade to the logos silver 5 , when you click on the help icon then the about logos software it displays the current version that I've upgraded to it would be a big help if this also displayed the previous packages I've upgraded from, or in my case downgraded
this would remind me of the last in top package I moved from in previous versions
for instance they could say platinum 4,~ silver 5
platinum 4 was my last top package , silver 5 is my latest top package,
this will help with further upgrades in the future I hope this makes some sense

A number of people have commented on this and suggestions have been made to Logos that they provide the option to have it on the left or back at the top. However, most people have found that - after some time - they get used to it and like it as it provides more space to display information.
I don't know if Logos will allow options of moving it in the future.

So a similar idea to the "Auto-hide" feature on the taskbar in Windows?
I haven't seen this suggested before and it will be interesting to see what Logos thinks of it.
But please explain why this would be useful. Is it taking up too much space or in what was is it distracting?

I understand what you are suggesting but don't know how feasible it would be. And would you just want the last top package or would you want an audit trail. With this information being available in your Orders history in your account I'm not sure how likely it is to get replicated here but, again, Logos would need to comment.

I find it a distraction when I'm reading then newspaper style page, I don't know if it's a colour scheme thing ,
I needed to be more separated from the newspaper style page, a stronger colour maybe ,at the moment I find it merging too much into the newspaper style window,
hope this makes sense

I did not like this at first sight, but now the placement seems normal.

Interesting suggestion. Would you want the entire Home Page to refresh or have the ribbon overlay a portion?

hi
yes that's correct ,I use Firefox as my browser, and I have a sidebar which I click on and it comes out like a window from the left side
I have access to all my bookmarks, download stuff plug-ins etc ,when I do not need it .I just click on it and it disappears it it shows as a small line of
dots with two small arrows in between it, I click on this then it comes back again ,
it would be neat to have side ribbon bar to disappearing to the side, giving you the full view of the newspaper page,
all somehow having it with a stronger colour as you indicated,
I really like the new colour line feature on the navigation Windows tabs,it makes a big difference for me

gone into the settings and turned off some of the things I had displayed in the ribbon, and it has got rid of the scrollbar
which has made it better for me as I now get a clean line running all the way down

Excellent - I can see how that would help
Interesting to see if Logos has a view on this

I hadn't considered that particular approach, but I did think when I first saw the images that it would be good to have it work like the TOC's. [Y]
