The Colenso Collection is closing Friday. It is verging on dropping to $35 and can easily reach that. This is an historically important collection regarding the historicity and authorship of the Pentateuch.
[:)]
It's very close to $35.
It is $35 now!!!
We've got $35; do I hear $30? [:)]
Going once …
Strange indeed: [:^)]
a lot of bidders [:-*] must have pulled out as it is now below 90% for all prices and shows it may close at $40 with less than enough to cover costs..... [*-)]

Another strange fact is that it still shows closure Friday. [^o)]
I'm really confused about this. What would cause so many people to cancel their bids or drop them below $35?

Perhaps Logos (human or machine) mistakenly adjusted the amount required to qualify for production downward by an amount larger amount than what it shoiuld have been reduced by? The error was caught and corrected, resulting in the unusual graph we now see.? Just a guess/speculation
Yes it did jump up just as suddenly as it has jumped down again ..... [*-)]
I thought I was the only one not reading this correctly. Strange indeed. I'm sure that the closing date will be adjusted. It only makes sense since the costs are not currently covered.
Looks like the Friday close date has been removed. Maybe we can get it down to $30 in the end. [:D]
For those who have yet to take a closer look, there are actually only 5 volumes totalling 460 pages in this collection by Colenso.
The other 12 volumes totalling over 2200 pages are responses to his ideas that his publications stimulated.

We're back to where we were before. This closes Friday (day after Thanksgiving in US). I think $30 is doable.
So it is closing again. Can we make $30?
Very VERY close to $30, but closing in about 80 minutes...... time to get on board and reserve your copy.....
Unless we get more bids in the next 10 min, I don't think we'll make $30. [:(]
I am in at 30. What tradition is this guy from? I'm not familiar with him... but he seems to be quite well regarded.
If I recall correctly, he's Anglican.
An Anglican missionary bishop:
back in the days when they gave you a map and said "we need some churches in this part of the world - go make it happen.... "
I am in at 30
You need to be VERY quick and up your bid to $35 to get in... [:)]
This is strange. It's 3:40 pm PST and this hasn't closed as of yet! However ir does show $30
Everyone is at the Mall ![;)]
Everyone is at the Mall !
Who are they mauling? [:D]
Given the price wanderings last week lets hope it stays at $30 long enough to close !!
It was supposed to have closed almost six hours ago.
Wow, that's strange. Maybe it is part of Black Friday. [:)]
I dont fully understand how community pricing works. I have bid on a few things now but thats as far as i have gotten. How do i get those resources in to my library?
A closing date is set for a community pricing item when the Logos community has placed enough bids to cover 100 % of the estimated production cost. If more bids are placed so a lower price point covers 100 % of estimated production cost, then the price reduces for all bidders. When the bidding closes, pre-orders are created for those users who placed a bid equal to OR higher than the closing price.
One strategy for community bidding is placing a bid for the maximum willing to pay for the resource. If the closing amount is less than OR equal to your maximum bid amount, a pre-order for the closing amount is created.
When a community pricing item closes, the resource becomes a pre-publication with a higher pre-publication price and Logos digitizes resource with a high rate of accuracy. The pre-publication is also available for pre-ordering. If a pre-order is cancelled, then choose to pre-order later, the pre-publication price becomes the pre-order price. The increase from community pricing close to pre-publicataion ranges from a few dollars to several times the closing amount.
When the pre-publication is ready to ship, an email is sent to those who have pre-ordered the resource. The email informs that Logos plans to charge credit card when the pre-publication resource ships, typically within a couple weeks of the email. Optionally can cancel pre-order and not have credit card charged.
After a pre-publication ships, have option for a refund within 30 days.
The lag time from community pricing close to resource shipping ranges from a few weeks to many months.
Keep Smiling [:)]
Thank you!!
