Crossgrade on Mac still says L4--is this normal?

I purchased the full cross grade and it has installed on my Mac. Logos opens and still says Logos 4. Is this normal, or should it say Logos 5?
Thanks for any feedback.

I saw this elsewhere as well. Make sure you are clicking on the L5 icon.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Thank you for your reply. I don't see any L5 icon. I checked finder and see L4 but no L5. Rebooted and it is still L4.

Tom - what update channel do you have set?

Tom — also double check that you don't have TWO apps in your applications folder.

Logos Bible Software 4.app is the app in Finder.
I don't understand when you ask what channel I have set.
Thanks for your interest.

The Logos app is designed to update automatically. By default, the app is set to the "default" channel, which means updates will download when new software is released to the stable channel. There are other channels as well... The other common (publicly available) channel is "beta." My thought was that perhaps you were set to beta and the new engine wasn't downloading.
The unfortunate thing is that we are not allowed to share the download link... Did you get an email? Is there a download link in it? Have you checked your orders page on the logos site for a download link?

Your installation should have said 5.

As well, [a number of Windows users] report that they needed to re-boot between downloads. ie that there were 2 disticnt ones. And the last one had a lot of resources/up-dated to L5 resources that had to index before they could be seen/used.

Tom, did you check your Orders page? On the Logos.com page, look in the upper right corner. You should see your name. Click on it and select orders from the drop-down menu. If you have any pre-pub or community pricing orders, you will need to scroll down to find filled orders. The Minimal Crossgrade order should have a download link.
Let us know if you still need assistance.

Thanks to all who replied to my problem. I called and talked to tech support. They took over my computer and fixed the problem. I had a corrupted "prayer list file". The technician said this had happened on Mac and PC's and they have a fix. He fixed it quickly and everything downloaded and now all is well. Looking forward to learning how to use L5. I really like and used L4, but I'm sure that I have just scratched the surface on how useful this software is. I teach Bible lessons at church and sometimes prepare Bible Studies or give devotions.
Thanks again.

I had noticed someone else with this problem. When I re-installed L4 today --it crashed--it said "prayer lists in crash log. On deleting both my Libronix 3 Prayer lists and Logos 4 prayer list database I was then able to start L4.
