Is there a possibility of bringing back the old BAGD (the second edition) to go along with the BDAG (third edition)? It has been brought up before (http://community.logos.com/forums/p/7385/58387.aspx#58387), but not directly. I have ~50K hits for "BAGD" in my library and consistently run across it in research. It would be helpful to be able to buy it.
Your best bet is to look on Amazon or ebay for one of the old Logos packages that contains that resource. That's what I did.
I found someone selling the Logos 2.0 New Testament Greek Core Collection and bought it. It wasn't cheap but it had BAGD 2nd.
Here is a list of discontinued packages.

As John has already noted you will need to look for someone who has one of the old packages. I have it because I bought it before they came out with BDAG (I believe part of the agreement was to discontinue BAGD) and also thanks to another forum member who sent me the file when my computer had a problem, but if I didn't already have a license for it I would not be able to use it.

If you buy old libronix products used on amazon, how would you know if they are already registered or not?

I suppose you could have them give you the registration number and check with Logos, but otherwise you are taking a chance.
I can't guarantee this would always work, but I bought a CD of resources used about 2 years ago. When I tried to register it, it was Logos 3 at the time, I got an error message of the sort "This package has already been registered". So I Called Logos customer support, and since I had the CD and I could read them the serial code on the CD that's used to register, they unlocked it for me right over the phone. I would bet they re-locked it with whatever user it had been registered to. Knowing Logos, I would personally not be very concerned about buying a product and not being able to use it - they will do the right thing IMHO.

The guy I talked to today in customer support said they had to have an email from the seller stating the sale of the product, the serial code, their personal info, the info of the buyer, etc. He said Logos does not recommend buying stuff used since nothing is guaranteed.
Hey, this just downloaded to my library. Woohoo! Thanks Logos
Please send the BAGD to me also. Many references to it, and I only have the BDAG.

True, but Logos has not seen fit to hyperlink the BAGD page number references in most of my resources, so my having it doesn't really make following references any easier. Ignore this.

I have thousands of BAGD links in my library in resources like Baker Exegetical Commentary on the NT, some Hermeneia, TLNT and WBC. It's referenced, but not linked in several more, but from what I can tell from a quick search, there are many, many links.

You're right. Mea culpa. I had accidentally searched my "Systematic Theology" collection instead of entire library, and none of the search results had links. Turns out Grudem and Reymond are the only systematic theologies I have that mention BAGD, but neither of them are linked to BAGD.

Hi Todd, and thanks. I was about to comment (after returning from the dentist), but I see that you said "Ignore this". Oops... I didn't ignore it.
I have another suggestion. Can Logos introduce a "link redirector" option to automagically map BAGD links to BDAG? C'mon, it can't be that hard. Bury it in the innards of the program preferences if you don't want most users to touch this setting.
Does anyone have a list which shows which packages BAGD was included in? I feel like I owned it at some point about 10-15 years ago, but my account was restarted around 2007 and the earliest thing I am shown owning was Scholar's Silver. Was it is the original Scholar's package? A list would be great.

"The Unbelievable Work...believe it or not."
It was in Logos 2.0 Scholars, Logos 2.0 New Testament Greek Core Collection, and Logos 2.0 levels 3 and 4. I don't think it was ever in L3.
*sigh*
It's so hard to confirm ownership of that older stuff. I've got disks & manuals...even a 3.5 floppy with my sync data from the 2.0 days...but I don't think that's gonna get me too far.
I even have the way cool tie that came packaged with Scholar's...
Best tchotchke Logos ever had, imo.
Think I'm gonna give 'em a call and see if they can dredge up that old account.
Heh...and I didn't even mention my long gone E4 stuff.
No joy...looks like I've got to find a system running Win98 and reload.
I have one or two books I found used or on a clearance price that came with Libronix CDs, new in the unopened plastic or cardboard sleeve, which I then installed and got registered in Logos 4. I removed the CDs from the book covers so when I sell them to a used bookstore, no future buyer can acquire my Logos license for the products.
