Has anyone else had the problem in Logos 5 of the panels [or tabs] vibrating back and forth? This happens quite often for me - and requres that I restart Logos to correct the problem.

    That's the new L-Phone feature!

(Actually it's a bug-repair in the current beta).

This is a known issue, but it is difficult to duplicate.

The best way to resolve it is to move or remove one of the titles in the "vibrating" panel, or to close out an information panel, or another panel to give the problem panel more room. Restarting won't solve it, since the issue has to do with Logos not being able to decide how to space/compress the tabs. You need to move/remove something.

(Sorry can't find other examples right now. I know of at least 4 other instances of this.)

It isn't fixed, Tommy. It popped up for me (repeatedly) when I double-clicked on a word yesterday. You can manage to click on the moving (back and forth) tab of the newly opened resource, then click on the down arrow below the book icon and click on "close" to manually close the resource to avoid restarting Logos. Otherwise, no matter what, it just keeps shifting left to right rapidly.

If you can repeat this, record your exact steps, include a screen shot, and some logs, and upload the screenshot and log here, it may help narrow down the cause, and suggest a solution. Please be sure to upload your logs before restarting Logos.

Thank you, Richard. I can repeat it, but I'd have to take a short "movie" clip of it to show the actual shifting rapidly left and right of the resource tab. I have all the logs from yesterday although it did not cause a crash. For brevity's sake I'll see if I can grab a quick screen clip of the jiggling tab with the tab out of place L/R. (I've already had a crash or two today from the same issues others have reported with the Layouts so it seemed pointless to report that).

I also neglected to point out in my original post here that unlike Rosie (on the original thread you linked to, I think), my panel wasn't overly crowded with resource tabs.

Thanks. Be sure your video (or a screen shot) shows the entire screen Logos window. It also may be helpful to know your screen resolution, as this could be an issue of pixel-width sensitivity (not that I really know).

EDIT: changed "entire screen" to "entire Logos window."

I cannot get it to replicate today, not even when in the same layout and double-clicking on the same word in the same resource at the same spot that "activated" the wiggling back and forth resource tab yesterday - I could get it to replicate at will yesterday, even when opening and closing the "offending" resource or Logos 5 itself). Only two things changed: 1) a cold boot on my PC Laptop this morning and 2) opening Logos 5 to a blank screen and then opening to the same layout in which the problem occurred repeatedly yesterday.

Lesson learned: do an immediate step-by-step notation and screen capture (or video as indicated) and do not assume.

Thank you for your helpful instruction, Richard.

The thread I linked to indicated it wouldn't be until 5.0b ships. If you're using the beta version of Logos 5 you'll want to post in the beta form that you're still having the issue. I would take Richard's advice about documenting the behavior if this is the case.
