It seems that every time I open L5 I get a message from Windows saying the indexer has stopped working. When I close the window the indexer stops. What can I do? How much does it matter?

I see I was having this problem with L4 as well
It looks like you need to rebuild your Library index.
Delete the folder C:\Users\nicky\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\0rbtdgsj.zbl\LibraryIndex and restart Logos 5.
Have done - it's now indexing without any nasty messages. Many thanks for your help. It's so simple too (famous last words?). I'll update when indexing completes successfully - and if it doesn't, come to that!
Incidentally is there anything I can easily do to correct the (very) minor irritation that L5 always opens non-full-screen (don't know the technical term) and I have to click to open it full screen? I'm getting lazy in my old age!
Once again refusing to index. When it was indexing, it just said it was indexing and didn't give the percentage done, as it usually does. Maybe I put a spanner in the works by restarting L5 to install a new ?vyrso resource it had downloaded. I'll try deleting the index again and restarting L5, and see what happens....
PS it now refuses to let me delete the folder as it says it's in use by another programme, even after I closed L5....Try a reboot...
This time, if you please, when the computer rebooted, L5 was already indexing and the rude message appeared yet again. At least this time it allowed me to delete the folder. 7.15 p.pm . Albanian time.
Still no percentage shown. If it goes on strike again, I'll send you some more logs - after Christmas! Have a happy one!

This indicates that the problem is with the bible index, so

75% done. Think it started again after downloading EEC. Says it's doing first index. Seems healthy.

It's best to set Auto Download Updates to NO when indexing!
