How will our Logos 4 upgrades with additional books be available in our L3 resources. I notice that the books appear unlocked but not in the resource directory. There are too many to download individually from the website.
What file are the Logos 4 resources kept in and can it be copied to L3's resource file? Or will a copy and paste even work in this case?

If not, when will this ability happen?

They are working on a resource update script. When, no idea - we were told it ought be released the week of November 9....

Some resources can be copied into the v3 directory from the v4 one, namely those with a lbxlls whateveryou call it (brain meltdown here)

I have a custom install. Someone else can tell you where to find the  \Logos4\Data\uniquecodeResourceManager\Resources directory.

I got an upgrade to Platinum 4 ... was Gold 3.g

On my laptop, no room for 4 yet, but I want to add the extra resources to 3.g's library.

So, after purchasing and receiving the 4 package, and ALSO purchasing the DVD that allows me to upgrade from 3.g, I sync'd licenses with the web on my 3.g laptop.

Then I inserted the 3.g upgrade DVD "Media Only" that they just sent.

It prompted me to do a Library Update, which completed successfully.

Then I started Libronix 3.g and inserted the DVD, expecting Discovering Resources to run for a while, then allow me to copy the new resource files over to my hard drive.

NOT.

Instead, it prompted me for a Logos 4 serial number ... and would not let me copy the resources without it.

Two issues here ... first, I'm not installing L4 so I should not need a SN for it ... second, THERE IS NO SERIAL NUMBER on the disks, packaging, or receipt.

And the hold time for Customer Service is 30 min.

And an email to them got a reply that they are "incredibly busy" - try the FAQ's or Videos or Forum.

So, "here am I" ... can anyone clue me in as to how to get the new resources working in my 3.g on a laptop that does NOT have 4 installed (no room for it).

Thanks!

Hi Damian,

How do you coax Google to give you the real count?

I'm working hard with posts like this one to catch up... Wink

Blessings!

Update:

I was able to use Library Management to get a list of the Unlocked on Removable, and to copy them.

BUT, there are a lot of overlaps with what I already had on my Hard drive.

Ah, well.

Further update:

Jared (mr. great sales guy) emailed me to say :

Launch the program When you see the prompt hold the Shift Key and click on the actual words "Serial Number" on the "Serial Number ________________________" field

It's great when you have the secret decoder ring.

Thanks, Jared!

Adrian Frost:

Adrian,

Thank you for posting this! Somehow, there was so much info in that blog post & there were so many forum messages to read that I got part way down, decided it was sales info, & quit reading!

If we aren't already using our L4 resources in L3, the scripts to make it happen are buried near the bottom of the blog entry.

Thanks again for drawing our attention to it!

Blessings!

Grace & Peace,
Bill

Jim, the post above yours has the information you need.

L3 is different from L4.  You need a L3 DVD not a L4 DVD.  Here is the link with the info you need

Thanks all, the blog link answered it all
and gave the download links. It took a while to download, but it looks like I have it all now in L3.

My mantra is

If you get a Serial Number prompt Shift-Click on the words "Serial Number" and hit the "Delete" button that appears!
