Creating a book with two columns
Is there a way to create a two column book and have logos 5 retain the 2 columns when it builds the book? I have tried creating a few books and it always drops the second column. Would be nice if it could build a book similar to creating a pdf in Msword. If any one knows how to do this I would appreciate the help.

Not sure if you understand my issue. The issue is when I create a book that originally has 2 columns, Logos 5 changes it to a single column. How I view the book in Msword is how I would like to view it in Logos 5.

Kynan, welcome to the Logos forums!
You can view any Logos book in 2 columns mode by choosing "Columns: 2" on the panel menu. So you don't need to build a Personal Book in 2 columns (Logos will ignore the columns setting in the Word document). That way it can flow to however many columns there are room for in the width of the window. If you set it to display a number of columns that is too many for the width, it will show as many as it can.
Here's a PB I created today, displayed in two-column mode:

I am familiar with setting the columns in the program. Thank you for your assistance Rosie.

Here is an example of how it looks in Msword:
Once converted to a book in Logos 5 the right column is dropped. Would like it to show exactly as is in Logos 5.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to get it to look exactly like that with the shaded text box positioned exactly where you want it. Logos controls where the columns break, flowing text and objects to fit in the window. There's currently no way to do absolutely positioned objects as in Word.

Thanks for the answer Rosie. That's what I wanted to know.

Related question: how does this book support multiple columns in Logos? "Robertson, A. T. (2009). A Harmony of the Gospels. Logos Bible Software." Is there a way I can do the same in a Personal book?

Bob,
I am seeing multiple columns, anywhere from 1 to 5 depending on the pericope under consideration, in thumbing through this resource just briefly.
You could try using Word to create a personal book with columns and see how it formats in Logos once you generate it.

Hi Bob:
For the parallel effect in a PB, you'll need to use a Table in MS Word. For an exaggerated example see this file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/8fok1xm6ln7bllf/Parallel%20Pericope%20Bible%20Revised%20Apr-18.zip?dl=0 (Resulting resource will be very slow without SSD and horsepower.)
For the saga, see this thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/126999.aspx
If you need help with MS Word Table, reply back with questions.
