HI all,

When I am looking at the ESV, and I right click on a word and do a Bible Word Study on the underlying lemma, there is a section "Translation | ESV" that comes up.  The definition of the word in the CENTER of the ring, what source is used for this definition?

Thanks!

It appears to be a basic gloss of the Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic word under consideration. I do not know if they come from a particular Lexicon or not.

The gloss comes from a Logos dataset not from a particular lexicon. It is the same set that populates the drop-down menu when you enter a word into the BWS.

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."

I knew I could not avoid learning something today, even in bed and sick the internet makes this unavoidable. Thank you.
