Libronix 3.0g Lectionaries
Hi folks.
I've been running 3.0g on my Windows 7 pc for the past year and a half. Last month the hdd failed so I'm in the throes of reinstalling 3.0g
The "default" lectionary changed from RCL to Catholic through the install process. No biggie because I had to deal with that problem 18 months ago. I simply changed the lectionary through "Customize View." on the Home Page. Now that fails.
I do notice the Catholic Lectionary is not checked in the lectionary list. Yet it appears on the Home Page.
So is there a way of removing all the lectionaries except the one I use? Or change the order that these appear in the Lectionary list?

Peace to you, Dan! *smile*
Welcome to the Logos Forums! I now use Logos 5; however, I have kept my Logos 3.0g installation on my Windows 8 computer -- basically just for reasons dealing with "nostalgia"! Just now I went over there and was shocked that I now also have the Catholic Lectionary showing up when I had it "set" to show the Lutheran Service Book 3-year Lectionary.
So, using the Lectionary Viewer, I go over to "properties" to reset it ... which I do .... and end up with my correct lectionary ..... However, if I leave the program and then come back in, it reverts to the Catholic version. Am quite surprised and don't have any answers for you! Sorry! *smile*
I guess it might be possible to remove the Catholic Lectionary Resource and see what comes up although I don't think I would advise that. I also will be waiting and watching this post to see if any one has any good ideas. Meanwhile, back to Logos 5! *smile*

Pax vobis Milford!
Logos4 came out while I was still in seminary. I bought the upgrade, but I didn't have the time to figure out the new front-end. So I quietly set it aside.
Libronix still does all I need it to, so the Logos4/5 learning curve still isn't necessary.
It's just odd to me that this one feature worked (on my pc in Windows 7) and now it doesn't.
Tech Support isn't able to tell me where the lectionary files are, otherwise I'd be happy to try turfing them one by one.

Ok, this wasn't so hard. I found the Lectionary files!
C:\Program Files (x86)\Libronix DLS\Common\DataFiles\Lectionaries
On my pc, it looks like this
I moved all the lectionaries I don't use into a temp subdirectory, and left the one I do.
...and Voilà!
If ever I want to use a different lectionary (which I haven't yet), I can simply exchange the one I want to use with the one I don't.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Great, Dan! Absolutely superb! That happens to be my lectionary also -- the 3 year Lutheran Service Book Lectionary. As a retired LCMS pastor, I belong here in Canada to an LC-C (Lutheran Church -- Canada) in Oshawa, Ontario -- in fellowship with LCMS; and that's the hymnal my own Pastor and Congregation use. I've been ordained for 50 years last summer and my whole pastoral ministry has been in Canada, including my vicarage.
I have it all set up in Logos 5; however, I like to keep my Logos 3.0g up to date also. Getting harder to do by the moment since I've installed Windows 8 Pro and have IE Explorer 10 ... It's beginning to "act up" a wee bit now and again!
Again, welcome to the Logos Forums! Visit often! Learn and learn to share! *smile* And Always Peace and Joy in the Lord!

We share a common history Milford. My folks immigrated from NE in the late 60s (an interesting time in Lutheran history). There was a rural LC-MS congregation just outside of the town were we set down stakes. That's where I was spoon fed on TLH. So I will sing the p.15 liturgy with shut-ins; it's as familiar to them as it is a pleasure for me. I'm a 4th career guy Milford; coming up on 3yrs this summer. So I'm close to making my first loop around the 3yr lctionary.
I picked up Libronix 2.x on a whim a year before seminary ('04) and ended up using it extensively for my exegetical and history classes. I accumulated my own digital "reserve shelf" which allowed me to pull all-nighters at home instead of at the sem library. As a result, I have essentials like BOC, Pieper, The Proper Distinction, and the like sitting on the shelf in my study. But all my commentaries, Greek/Hebrew helps, Early Church Fathers and Luther's Works are digital.
My use for Libronix peaked in sem. Currently I use it for sermon prep and exegesis... and Libronix makes word studies in Greek or Hebrew shamefully easy. I'm sure it's the same in Logos4/5 but... I already know how Libronix works.
Again thanks for the friendly Logos Forum welcome.
I expect to visit forums in lieu of calling Support these days, especially when a legacy product (not only Libronix) outlives the knowledge of frontline Support staff. I also try not to ask a question in any forum that someone else has already posed. So I'm more a reader than a poster. But I am pleased to share my findings when I have, on rare occassion, something new to share. ;-)
Lenten Blessings Milford (and to all who stopped by to read this)

Welcome [:D]
Logos 4/5 added visual filter highlighting so can see range of Greek verbal expression in morphologically tagged resources.

This feature (with which I am familar) is a great topic to post in the Logos 4 Windows/Logos 5 Forums.
Being familiar with paradigms and deponents permits the reader to make the same visual analysis as a visual filter.
Libronix patrons who are not familiar with those forms, do have tools to help parse and locate grammatical patterns.
kind regards, db

Concur Libronix 3.0g has tools that have been expanded in Logos 4 and 5. For example, Logos Greek Morphology visual filter is not an option for ESV in Libronix 3.
Apologies: not know how to create a visual filter in Libronix 3.0g that includes more than one search term: e.g. @BN BEFORE 1 WORD @V??M (so can highlight a negative command in Logos 4 and 5: e.g. Php4.6)
Personally have used Logos 5 and Logos 4 more than Libronix 3, yet am finding family resemblance with similar user interface learning curve as switching Office versions. Thankfully can use Logos 5 and Libronix 3 at the same time.

Libronix 3, Logos 4, and Logos 5 have right click option for choosing Bible Word Study (BWS). Logos 5 and 4 expanded BWS with more sections. Likewise noticed Logos 5.1 Beta 1 found 74 uses of lemma χαίρω while Libronix 3.0g found 52 in the ESV Reverse Interlinear. English Reverse Interlinear resources were revamped for Logos 4.
Personally wish for Logos 5 and 4 to have option to show resource title in BWS Lemma section instead of abbreviation. Thread => What is more useful in Libronix 3.0g ? (especially compared to Logos 4.5a) has been followed by more Logos 4 and 5 improvements: Word Lists, Vocabulary, Sermon addition to Personal Books, ...
Logos 4 and 5 have a free Personal Book option for creating a customized lectionary. Wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Personal_Books

Approaching this from another angle:The goal of this thread is to offer a work-around to Libronix patrons having problems selecting a lectionary that appears on their home page. Will the visual filter features of Logos 4/5 assist Libronix patrons select a lectionary in their 3.0g home page?0 -

Using Libronix 3.0g on 64 bit Windows 7 with IE9, can replicate Home Page customization not keeping Lectionary nor Devotional preferences. In contrast, prioritizing Devotional and Lectionary resources in Logos 4/5 Library causes them to appear on Home Page in prioritized order.
Libronix 3.0g use XML for Home Page preferences in <User>\AppData\Roaming\Libroinix DLS\Library\Preferences\LDLS\HomePage\Main\LogosBibleSoftware.HomePage.lbxprf Appears only workaround for Libronix 3.0g is moving Lectionary file(s) to a different location: if Catholic Lectionary file is in folder, it always appears on Libronix 3.0g home page along with other lectionaries disappearing. Tried editing XML with Libronix 3.0g closed, but next launch overwrote changes.
Software development of Libronix 3.0g ceased in 2009. New Logos resources after 30 March 2012 are not available for Libronix 3.
Thankful can freely download/install Libronix 3.0g, Logos 4, and Logos 5. With javascript fix for IE9, Libronix 3.0g has many usable features on Windows 7. Note: when Apple upgraded Safari to version 5 (and newer javascript), the Libronix 3 port to Mac OS X, Logos for Mac v1, essentially became an ebook reader so download link removed.
Logos 4 revamped a number of resources so Libronix patrons upgrading to Logos 4/5 would be prudent to consider:
=> http://www.logos.com/product/28576/logos-4-minimal-crossgrade that includes Lectionary resources
=> http://www.logos.com/product/28494/logos-5-core-datasets
=> http://www.logos.com/product/28376/logos-5-minimal-crossgrade
Thankful for dynamic upgrade pricing so only pay for new resource licenses.

Don't need the new bugs if you are happy with the old bugs. Bugs is bugs. Old bugs are just as good as new bugs. Maybe better Jesus and the apostles did ok without colored highlighting. If you want impressive colors on your computer screen you should try photoshop. Keep Smiling
PS - I just upgraded my desktop system to an i7-3770 processor. In the process I am reinstalling all the software that I use regularly. I started with a clean install on Windows 7 Pro, and along with all the updates I decided to go with Internet Explorer 10.
I will know soon whether or not Libronix 3 is going to run in this environment. It ran ok on Win7 with IE9, so I am hoping it still does. If not I will be sticking Libronix 3 in a virtual XP machine [H]
