This is a difficult one for me to diagnose. Because you are running the 5.1 beta please re-post this in the Desktop Beta forum

David,
Thanks for the reply.
Is there a quick way to install the latest non-Beta release?

Yes, but I don't know if it would solve your problem and it would involve re-indexing (assuming you want to overwrite the same installation). One thing you can try is to delete your WPF Font Cache.
To re-install;
- move your \Resources folder to a place outside your "D:\Logos 4" folder e.g. to the root of
\ drive
- uninstall Logos from Programs and Features
- delete your "D:\Logos 4" folder
- install as per Method 3
when you specify the installation path just enter
\ as Logos will then install to
\Logos5

Thanks Dave.
I was already looking into the FONT area. I noticed that my Times New Roman font was not behaving (only italics). Fixing this got some resources opening.
Deleting the Font cache file (not exactly the same name as you suggested) and L5 seems to be working OK, albeit slowly.
Thanks Dave.

What was the file you deleted? Does the xxx3.0.0.0 file exist?

In the directory I had 6 files. I deleted all 6. They will the same/similar to those below.
I now have 3 ....
1. FontCache-FontFace.dat
2. FontCache-S-1-5-21-562044984-XXXXXXXXXX-YYYYYYYYYY-1000.dat
3. FontCache-System.dat

Thanks, Stephen. Is Logos still slow?

What is slow?
Here's some results that I think are slow ....
1. Click icon to open L5 ... 26 seconds of blue icon on screen, 70 seconds Preparing ... stage 2/3 (my logs tell me no resources had changed since last time), 15 seconds for pro to open
2. Click icon to open Hebrew text ... 15 seconds
3. Click to open Greek text ... 9 seconds
4. Click to open HCSB ... 8 seconds
I think this is slow.

I agree. My wife's Logos 4 running on a 7 year old single-core AMD CPU is faster.
If Logos is the only slow application on your machine I suggest a re-installation that avoids downloading resources by using Method 3:-
- backup your Resources folder
- uninstall Logos from Control Panel (leave PreRequisites)
- delete the installation folder (\Logos4 or \Logos5)
- install Logos as per Method 3
