Can I upload kindle books into Logos? If not, is there another format that would allow me to do this?

    Hi Blake,

welcome! "upload" format is Microsoft Word *.docx, so you will need to convert kindle books e.g. with Calibre.

    You may check out http://wiki.logos.com/Personal_Books

    Blake,

You will need Calibre and the DRM Removal Plugin. You will need to do your own verifying that the Calibre plugin tool is a valid, safe plugin (I make no guarantees that it won't eat your computer, though the last time I installed it, the process was uneventful).

Use that plugin tool in Calibre to unlock your Kindle book. Then use Calibre to convert to RTF.

Open that RTF in a relatively recent version of Word, add any of the tagging/linking you'd like as detailed in the Wiki. Finally, save as a docx from Word and build in Logos.

    Piece of cake, right?

Thanks for your replies NB and William.  I did not know this was possible, but I tried it and it worked.  This will increase the usefulness of my Kindle and Nook books.
