BUG: 5.1b Beta 1 Mac Hebrew Morph Search

See this thread in the Logos 5 forum Hebrew morphology search with part of speech not working

Genesis 1:1 right click on beginning in the ESV. Select Lemma Morph Search with all parameters

Received 0 search results:

Remove any of the search parameters—removing the F(eminine) will give results that should have resulted from the original search.

Dave Hooton responded to the original thread that this did not occur in Windows. I believe he is using the 5.1b Beta. LimJK reported correct results using 5.1a SR-1 Mac. Therefore, it appears that this is a bug introduced in 5.1b Beta 1 Mac.

Can anyone confirm this?

It appears to be a Mac issue, as I have just confirmed that the Windows beta also gives the expected results!

Expected that. As I said on the other thread, I assumed you were on the Beta. But, then, assumptions sometimes fail.

But are you on 5.1a, or 5.1b beta?

This is not a 5.1b-specific bug, but depends on when the ESV was most recently updated on your machine. (And people who can't repro this in the ESV may have other Bibles in which this problem occurs.)

We are discussing how best to resolve the issue and will provide guidance as soon as we can.

In the meantime, as you noticed, you can work around the problem (to some extent, depending on the query) by using a wildcard in the morph term.
