I have always thought that Pink's "Exposition of the Gospel of John" consisted of only three volumes as in many places the one volume edition is cited as including three volumes. Iain Murray's "The life of Arthur W Pink" also only records three volumes being published.

This single work in Logos contains 72 chapters covering the full book of John, but I have just obtained a first edition Volume 3 of this work from 1929 and this only contains chapters 37 to 53 covering only up to chapter 15 of John.

Where do chapters 54 to 72 come from in the one volume edition covering the remainder of the book of John?

Were the original three volumes augmented by extracts from Studies in the Scriptures or was there originally  a fourth volume in the series?
