What happened to the ESV audio Bible it was supposed to be released today? I got an email a couple days ago announcing it's being released October 25.
The day is not over with yet. At least where I am located.
When it is ready to be downloaded you will get an email advising you, it is now ready to be downloaded.
It won't be a download... at least not the audio.
Alabama, please clarify the email said it would be released today.
I'm not sure how this will be made available... but the ESV audio bible will be "online only." I am not sure if:
I have no inside info... I just know that the audio files presumably won't be downloaded.
This is from the product page:
Alabama, I understand what you're saying but My order status says it ships today. See the above clip
Mike,
My status shows the ESV audio as shipping today as well. So does the Cowles Commentary. But the day is not over. When it is available an email will be sent out letting one know that it is available.
With the ESV audio, there will be no download of it. If you are online you can use the read along feature with the ESV open to listen to the text being read.
It will not be available for use, until Logos sends the email letting us know that it is ready to be used.

It isn't uncommon for things to ship later than their estimated ship date... I would say its doubtful at this point, but it could still be today.
Downloaded and indexing as I write this.

<eat's humble pie> [:D]
Was it large or small? I wonder if the audio actually does download, but to meet the requirements it has to be connected to the internet... Or, it could just be an update to the ESV. Curious. Anyways, it's good that it is here now. [:)]
It downloaded and indexed in my computer to. it's listed in the library as the English standard version audio.

The English Standard Version Audio (ESVAUDIO.logos4) update was a 4.7MB download for me.
Edit:
Thank you, Logos! [:)]
The man's voice that reads the text is extremely clear. I noticed a few skips in the audio, but that might be the fault of my old desktop computer.
Congrats, Logos staff! Thank you. And a freebie, no less.

Yes, it is very good. This is the same audio book that came with the online version of the study bible (not-Logos).

Anythings better than Scourby! [:O]
I think this particular ESV audio bible is good. Currently, I've been really into Marv Allen's narration of the LEB NT. Comparing the two, I'd say Marv has the edge.
I'm happy that Logos is bringing in audio bibles! I'd like to see more!
