Ussher's chronology (Not in English - Beware!)
Ussher's chronology is rather interesting. I've been wanting to read Ussher's "most well-known book" Annals of the World so I could see how he pieced it all together. So when I saw the CP for his works I went in on it.
Note: It is now a pre-pub and is about to ship.
However, I was reviewing the contents of this collection earlier today and noticed something interesting. Maybe I'm missing something, but it appears that this book is not in English!
Please tell me there is an English translation that also accompanies this! Am I missing something here? I'm not sure if I want the collection without Ussher's most famous work! That was the main reason for me wanting this collection.

There is not an English translation of his chronology in this collection. I believe that all English translations are under copyright, and this is a public domain collection. For example, The Annals of the World is a Master Books publication. I've written Master Books/New Leaf Publishing Group to request that they work with Logos to publish their catalog, but received no response.

Ars Longa, Vita Brevis...way too brevis to learn Latin for a 20 buck CP. Order terminated with extreme prejudice.

You can cancel or return the order within 30 (?) days to get a full refund. I have cancelled several orders - as my financial condition has changed since placing many of my pre-pubs. I have returned an item or two when I found out I ordered something in error.

Well, it hasn't shipped yet. So, I haven't been charged yet.
I am trying to determine what other use I might get out of the collection before I decide to cancel. I should have paid better attention to the details of the collection, but to be honest it is hard to imagine this collection without a readable copy of Ussher's most famous work. I remember scanning through the details a couple years ago and noticed the collection had the book. So I placed an order. What I didn't notice was that last part I highlighted in my OP, buried near the very end - "presenting in the original Latin". I think this should have been front and center!
Can anyone here actually read Latin proficiently? [:S]

I just noticed the same thing a few days ago and was going to post this question on the forum too. The chronology was my main reason for purchasing this collection. If it is not in English then I will be cancelling my order.

I was excited to see this in Community Pricing because of Ussher's Chronology. Then Todd pointed out to me it was in Latin. I was somewhat disappointed but I do have that book in PDF so I took a look at the English titles in the collection. I figured they are worth the CP price of $20 so I let my bid stand.
We have to read the product descriptions carefully to know what we are bidding on. I think it is cool to have resources in original languages (Greek, Latin, French) but I also want them in English.

That other notable ebook seller has 2 editions of the Annals in English.
I typically convert ebooks from that site into .docx and make PBs from them. Frequently the low-priced editions of old works will reveal numerous OCR errors when converted (via Calibre; see the links in my signature), but I can report that the $2.99 edition does not appear to have these errors. Obviously, this edition is from a Public Domain English translation.
However, as is frequently the case, I would be very interested in a genuine Logos English edition of this book.

Since there appears to exist a "public domain" edition of an English translation of Ussher's Annals of the World, why was it not included in Ussher's works collection? Why would Logos only include the Latin version? This is his most popular book! Who wants an Ussher collection without it?

If you have locked into community pricing I would be very careful about cancelling, the volume of "A Body of Divinity" is worth the price alone.0

Well, I canceled my order.
I, also, failed at making a PB of Annals. I was able to convert the file (both the .pdf and the .epub) to .docx (using Robert's method), but the format was horrible in Word - there was no spacing. I was going to upload the file to share, but now I'm hoping someone else could give it a try.

While I think it is likely that the person who is selling the $2.99 edition on Amazon started with the (presumably) Public Domain edition found on archive.org (or similar), he or she probably did a lot of cleanup on the file, particularly given your experience. (I am assuming you started with one of the archive.org formats.) That is what I was alluding to in one of my posts.
I wouldn't be able to share the .docx I made from the edition I bought, but I did download and convert the Kindle format from archive.org. I think it actually looks fairly decent, considering. I am linking to it here and you can make a judgment if it is any better that your experiment. Note: I'm not the pickiest person on earth, so my ceiling might be your floor The file hasn't had any work done beyond conversion, so I won't feel bad if you don't use it. [:'(]

Ugh, I too wanted this just for the Annals. I'm going to see how useful it is even in Latin, but this might be the first title I return.

The archive.org copy doesn't have any information on who did the translation or when [at least, not that I could find]. It doesn't read like a particularly old translation, and the editor's preface mentions an article from 1922. It's possible that this isn't really public domain, but that someone is asserting it is public domain because the original Latin is so old. But I'll drop a note to text development and marketing to see if they are aware of it so they can follow up and see if this is something we can work with, if they didn't already evaluate it when putting this project together.

I'm not sure how anyone will find the Latin text much of use without the English translation to reference. Maybe you could do what I just did and make a PB of an English copy of Annals. [:)]

I hate to NOT get this for $20 and then down the line Logos does an english update or something for free for owners..
I guess I need to look into the PBB thing also, its been ages since ive done one of those.

I'd hate to get it for $20 and Logos doesn't update it! And if they do, I'm hoping they will offer it as a stand alone purchase. Annals of the World is literally all I'd ever use in this collection.
