PATRICK, LOWTH, ARNALD, WHITBY, AND LOWMAN. COMMENTARY AND PARAPHRASE ON THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT

COMMENTARY AND PARAPHRASE ON THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT AND THE APOCRYPHA BY PATRICK, LOWTH, ARNALD, WHITBY, AND LOWMAN.
I found this commentary on archive.org and I found that it's really good! I would love for it to be available in Logos! Check it out here on Amazon and here on Archive. I don't know much about the history of it or the authors themselves, but really enjoy the notes.

Well, times are getting tough, when an 1820 commentary sells for $4,500 and the fake paper version is $45 for goodness sakes.
I couldn't find any reviews; do you care to expand on what you enjoyed about the notes? I'm tempted to download the pdf.

No kidding about the price!!
It seemed to have great comments throughout (I've only looked at Genesis so far) but I found the discussion on the serpent in Genesis 3 very interesting! I tried to post some of the text but found that it was going to take some serious editing work to make it copy and post correctly.

It's Here! Looks like Logos just released this one on CP here. Much of this was written in the 1600s and is very puritan-esk in the feel of it. I don't know much about the authors themselves other than that Daniel Whitby's NT Commentary included is the favorite NT commentary of Philip Doddridge, who in turn wrote his own NT commentary that is the favorite NT Commentary of Jonathan Edwards. Excited to see this one make it into my library!
