Right now, I have several Hebrew Bibles, including:

  • Lexham Hebrew Bible
  • The Hebrew Bible: Anderson-Forbes Analyzed Text
  • Biblia Hebraica Westmonasteriensis with Westminster Hebrew Morphology 4.18
  • Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia: SESB 2.0 Version
  • Biblia Hebraica Quinta (not all books completed yet)

Which one(s) do you use, and for what?

Although I have not used it much I'm looking forward to working with Biblia Hebraica Westmonasteriensis with Westminster Hebrew Morphology 4.18 since it has most recently been updated. In the past I mostly used 4.2.

I use:-

  • Lexham Hebrew Bible  -  for Clause Search mainly!
  • The Hebrew Bible: Anderson-Forbes Analyzed Text - for its advanced search on Genre, Semantic Domain, etc. + alignment with Hebrew Syntax Search.
  • Biblia Hebraica Westmonasteriensis with Westminster Hebrew Morphology 4.18 - as morphology alternative to Logos Hebrew & BHS/WIVU.
  • The Lexham Hebrew-English Interlinear Bible - because I'm hopeless with the Hebrew/Aramaic language.

Hello, Einwood,

I use BHS SESB 2.0 as my "base text" because of its apparatus criticus.

Anderson and Forbes' Phrase Marker Analysis is a constant companion for syntactical help.

I have prioritized WBH 4.18 in the top position so that the Westminster morphology will show up together with SESB and WIVU in the Exegetical Guide.

I would use BHQ as my "base text" if there were more Books available in it.
